We had a fantastic experience at Trusted Edge this week. As a new ice skating family with two daughters in pre-freestyle (ages 11 and 12), we were looking for guidance and owner Matt delivered above and beyond. He was incredibly kind, patient, and informative. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure we understood everything about choosing the right skates.
One important thing to know is that the store is appointment-only, which is noted very clearly on the website. You do need to make an appointment before going, but the great part is you can text Matt directly to set it up, which is super convenient.
We felt so welcomed and well taken care of. You can tell Matt truly cares about his customers and the skating community. We will definitely be back as our girls continue their skating journey. Highly recommend!

Things to know before you go- Matt is open by appointment only.
I drove 2 hours one way to get new skates. It's mt first time back on ice in nearly 20 years. The skates I had were therefore old technology in the first place, but not even the right ice skates foe what I was doing. I had a laundry list of annoying questions that Matt gleefully answered for me. He made sure I was staying within my budget, got the boots that made the most amount of sense foe my experience, made sure I wasn't going to waste money by getting something I would outgrow soon or boots that would be too advanced for me, explained how heat tech works, how the he selects the boots/blades, why certain boots are good for certain individuals while they're bad for others, etc. All this to say, Matt is extremely knowledgeable about his products & being mindful of his customers. He was also very personable & friendly. He truly goes above & beyond to provide excellent customer service. He was worth the 4 hour round trip drive & I understand why all the other skaters in my town recommend him.

Matt really came through for daughter so my daughter could get her skates so she could get back to college on time and he got the skates shipped out to her with enough time so she could break them in.
He was great to work with and very knowledgeable. My daughter has already told her teammates about him so he just got more business coming his way.

Went to get fitted for my first pair of boots and im so happy with them! They fit perfectly and i will be going back when its time for an upgrade

Went in expecting to get my daughter's blades sharpened and boots stretched, walked out with new boots that she 100% needed at an amazing price. He even sharpened the blades from the old skates and mounted them on the new boots for us. (They were the perfect size for the new boots and purchased with that in mind) We even got a little lesson in how blades are sharpened. So informative! She is so happy with this new pair! We will definitely be returning and can see why the Kent team comes here. So kind and answers ALL the questions. Thank you so much for all of your time!

We brought our daughter here to be fitted for skates. Matt was so knowledgeable, took his time answered all our questions. An incredible experience, we will be back a lot in the future!

This was my first time getting skates from here and the whole experience was wonderful!! Matt was so helpful and kind! He explained everything and took time to make sure everything was just right!! I will make sure to come here every time I get new skates from now on!

My experience with Matt has exceeded all expectations. I live in Austin with nowhere to buy ice skates nearby. I'm up here visiting family and started researching options to purchase skates while in town and came across Matt's website. I emailed and we struck up a conversation. He was responsive and helpful. I finally made it to the store yesterday for a fitting and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Matt took the time to talk and get to know me and my needs. He gave me so many options and explained the pros and cons of each. He was upfront about price points (not cheap) and when/if a more expensive option was better for me. These are not entry level, recreational skates. Know what you are getting into. His prices were exactly what I expected for my needs. I tried on five skates in multiple sizes covering three brands to ensure that I was getting exactly what I needed. He includes heat molding, blade mounting and sharpening with a purchase. He was understanding of my need to think about it and not purchase day of. He wasn't pushy at all. I was able to text him and order the next day after confering with my husband. I will absolutely be back and Matt is now a trusted partner in my skating adventure.

We have been going to Matt for over 7 yrs. to purchase boots and blades. He is very helpful and stands behind what he sells. He sharpens my daughter's blade perfectly every time. When we first had him sharpen her blades he showed us how he did it and showed how he measured them to be the best they could be. Just over all a great place and a great owner!

*WARNING*The hours listed on the website and through Google are not true. It makes it seem like the store is open all the time when it is not. Apparently its appointment only so don't waste your gas like I did. If you try to call the number it states that the voice-mail box is full. Unsure how one would go about scheduling an appointment. I was very excited to buy new skates and get them heat molded and sharpened but unfortunately that won't be happening.
