On September 15, 2024, while I was returning with my family to Pittsburgh from the ISKCON Hindu Temple in West Virginia, I experienced a tire blowout that also damaged my wheel. I was fortunate to receive help from a kind gentleman nearby who assisted me in replacing the wheel with a spare — I’m truly grateful for his generosity.
Since it was a weekend, most auto service centers were closed. The only one open in the area was Monro. When I arrived there, I met Mr. James Laflame. I explained my situation to him. He could have simply said that no spare parts were available and sent me on my way — but he didn’t.
Instead, he took the time to understand our situation. He advised us not to take the highway for safety reasons, drew out a detailed route on paper with alternate directions as our phones were almost drained, and explained how to get home safely. He even gave us his phone number and told us to call him if we needed any further help. That level of empathy and care truly touched our hearts.
Thanks to James’s thoughtful guidance, we made it home safely. My entire family is sincerely grateful for his kindness and support.”

“Very happy with the experience buying a new Chevy Equinox today. The salesperson, Andrew, gave me a very competitive out-the-door price via e-mail. Came in to complete the purchase and things went smoothly. Let us take it for an extended test drive on our own, the price was as expected, and no hard sell on any financing or upgrades. All at a fair price, too.They fixed problems that had been caused by another mechanic’s poor work on a faster timeline than I expected, and made sure to take good care of me and my car. Even though I got my car back quickly, they were able to properly diagnose the issue, and took the time to make sure their work had been done properly. “Super helpful. I just walked and asked about tires and needing help on finding the size. They were able to get me in right away. I also had a dentist appointment, that morning. They had one of their guys drive me up and then told me to call when I'm done they would come get. It was a rough Sunday and Monday morning, them going beyond by helping me get to my appointment so I didn't have to keep driving on the spare was amazing. “This review is for the automotive department. I had summer tires placed on my truck by a local tire shop. Even after returning to that local tire shop with serious concerns, they failed to properly balance and inflate my tires. I called Sam’s Automotive and explained what had happened. The men at Sam’s Automotive got me scheduled that day and not only checked out my truck, but balanced my tires appropriately and made sure they were inflated correctly. If I could give them a 10 star rating, I would. I hope the manager reads this and gives these men a raise. I didn’t catch their names, but I’d love to give them a huge THANK YOU!”

“SEMITRUCKS: This place service commercial vehicles, they have a Bay area on the back of the facility, you can come and get your tire fix, is only one bay, so you should call ahead and ask if it isn't to crowded, I only saw 1 employee, very nice guy. I had 1 truck ahead of me. Once I got inside, it took 1.5 hours to put my new tire. Regarding labor cost, I brought my own tire, and I payed $ 50.”
