7/1/2023Updating my review I was immediately was contacted by corporate office once I posted my original review.I am satisfied with the customer service at the branch and the corporate level however I am not satisfied with the process of signing up for an online account, fraud detection indicators should be on the front end before they collect your personal information and your deposit and not on the back end, so I give that process a one star.CONSUMER BEWARE :1. I opened an online account 5/25/20232. I did not receive my debit card in the time that was stated when I called to check they told me that my apartment number is missing3. however I received 4 nasty letters telling me that fraud was detected and the account was going to be closed so they did have my apartment number it was on the 4 letters4. when I called the number in one of the 4 letters they told me they had no reason or additional info to go to the local branch5. I went to the local branch Ohio they still couldn't tell me why my account was closed and what fraud activity was detected

This is the absolute worst bank I have ever dealt with in my life. Their app is pure crap and doesn't work half the time and their customer service is completely incompetent. I don't know how they are still in business. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

Incredibly difficult to speak with someone from an American call center. This bank seems incredibly disorganized. Not sure how they got so big.

This bank is the most unprofessional bank I have had to deal with. They brought my credit score down by 100 points for missing a payment by 8 days. Before you get a mortgage with them, one should reconsider as they have no sympathy for people having personal problems sometimes. I have been a customer with them since 2011 and after 9 years they are dinging me for one mistake I made. I am refinancing pronto.

Most uncaring bank I've ever dealt with when an issue comes about. Their ATM ate my card after hours (like I'm sure many others). The screen looked normal then after a couple minutes after eating my card and hit trying to hit keys, the screen went black. I called the 800keytoyou to get help. I had no gas and no money. I sat for an hour in front of the machine while holding on the phone and then talking to them. I was afraid it would spit out and someone would get it. I started to cry while talking to the guy saying what am I suppose to do for money. I work 12 hr shift. Saw hours as the bank. He said he was ending the call. I said I wanted a manager. He said he's ending the call and hung up. So I had to call and wait another 20 minutes to talk to someone. She said all they can do is close the account and reissue a new number which can take up to 7 business days. If I need money go into a bank. I said what am I suppose to do if I work those hours. Sorry is what I got. But she'll expedite it and credit the $23 charge making it up to 5 business days. Over a week later I called back only to find out from the girl that it's been in transit for a week by my location. I said that means it's lost. Can you call them? She replied they don't do that. Fine. Can't I talk to s manager? They can do it. It's a 20 minute wait. So I got the tracking number to do myself. The wrong number after I repeated it back and she saying it was correct. Ups tracked it. I told the guy that means it's lost. So they had to open an investigation that would take up to 3 days. Finally a couple hours later I called key bank back and told them to void that card and expatiate a new one. In that conversation I came to find out that the $23 charge was never credited. So she did and would check the next day for that charge to credit since it automatically charges your account. She told me I'd have to sign for it which I wasn't told before. I told Er to note the system to allow time for someone to get up and go to the door. I'd have my father there since I had to work. Well, I ended up staying home from work the day it was to deliver (today) so I can get it to pay my bills (since that card number is what's in the system) and buy food to eat. After sitting around I called to find out what was going on. The guy said no tracking number yet (means it didn't ship yet). Maybe Monday. I said I don't understand the problem. The first time it shipped the next day. It's been 3 days. When didn't it ship? That doesn't work for me. I took off of work. I want a manager. Please hold. Then all of a sudden he sees a tracking number. Apparently they tried to deliver it. Doubt it. I have 2 100lb dogs that bark if you walk on the other side of the street. Call them and redeliver it. Sorry. Nothing we can do. Told him he's a manager. There's plenty he can do and chooses not to. I've gone over two weeks with no money and no one cares all I get it sorry. No one taking that extra step to help. I said I don't think they care about their customers and to give me one good reason why I should stay and not go to Chase. His response...we care. I sad you haven't shown it yet. It's like having my money held ransom. No eating or paying your bills. But we care. Give me a reason to stay. Nothing they can do for me. I said there is but choose not to. They need classes on how to be sympathetic and empathetic. That he was a manager and could even come up with a good reason to bank at Key. That he had a text book response and didn't believe it himself. I asked him his name, Ron, and said when they ask why I'm asking my money out it's because of him. That I was sure Chase would be willing to take my money and help me out. I then followed up with UPS and told them I need this redelivered today and to have the guy ring the door bell since I'm sure he knows how. Even put a note

Key bank is great! Their silver MM account pays ATM fees and more. If you have a job, Keybank's benefits are great.

I called the KeyBank corporate headquarters this morning to request the contact information for the company's legal department. The individual who answered the phone was extremely rude! When I asked to speak to a manager, he hung up on me. I called back again to request a manager and instead I was transferred to a local bank. I am in shock at the level of immaturity and the lack of customer service. So disappointing.

It takes months (5 months) to receive a refund for an over payment. Five or more phone clerks, same story, refund mailed, refund lost, will resend documentation. This bank has no problem sending documentation for a final payoff of thousands, and then refuses to refund a small amount of a few hundred dollars. Key Bank is simply ripping their customers off. The saga continues.

Key.com is an online bank that has 14 locations in the NE United States. They are very difficult to work with and can cost you hours trying to do business with them online. I am referring to loan payments, where, yes I am trying to give them money and they make it impossible. When I called and spoke with Matt on a password reset, it is not enough that they ask for your name, address, social security, the collateral for the loan and your date of birth, but in additiion to these questions, if you do not have answers for the rest of the questions they will not reset the password. They ask no less than 15 questions and if you do not answer them the way they want you to you are denied reset. I have only dealt with them online since they do not have locations in the southern part of the US. I will never sign up for a loan with them again and do not recommend them to anyone!
