Im glad Bucyrus has this store because we do not have a big name hardware store. The staff are friendly and they have just about anything you would need when doing home repairs, plumbing, tools, paint, power equipment etc.
I will say as others have mentioned in the reviews, the service department in the back is mediocre at best. The guys working back there weirdly have a massive ego and act like they know everything ever.If you try to talk to them about a problem you are having with equipment you brought in-forget it! It doesn't matter if you are a master certified mechanic they still know more than you and you are wrong LOL.

Horrible horrible horrible experience at Ace Hardware Bucyrus Ohio They have a service in the back with their sthil stuff I Do a lot of business there had a lot of things worked on I've bought chainsaws I've bought You know chainsaw covers I've bought weed whackers I've bought a lot of stuff from there I've had a lot of stuff service and I tell a lot of people about this place But I tell you what I took a backpack blower in there and asked them for A choke lever and a prime button that's it there was nothing wrong with my blower as far as functioning it was strictly cosmetics I took it in there to get it repaired the guy had it for two months he jerked my chain he wouldn't call me and let me know the progress on it I called him several times it was always something different And I I'm just very very unhappy I went back I picked up my leaf blower it does not work And I had to purchase a brand new one The manager Garrett decided to take 50 bucks off I'm sorry but I think they could have did a little bit better than that They took a perfectly good blower and they destroyed it and then charged me practically full price for a new one I am very very unhappy with Ace Hardware and I'll be sure to let everybody that I know how they stiff me on my blower I honestly belive they switched my working blower for a non working blower all my equipment has a sticker saying Miller lawn and power this blower has no sticker and never has had a sticker the straps was too tight and it was filthy its not my blower they robbed a good hard working man

Definitely not an equal opportunity employer. Employees are very low on their priority list. I would definitely not go there for any of my power equipment repairs.

Great little local hardware store, that is just around the corner from my home. So I frequent this place often. With that being said I've always received great service no matter who I've dealt with. A special shoutout to Kevin, their service tech. He is always willing to pitch in and help on the floor with my daily needs.

always helpful. I have to ask everything I go in looking for a specific home repair item as I am not very handy. They have helped me find what is needed 100% of the time

This store changed hands in the past couple of years, but it remains a rare, and special thing -- a neighborhood hardware store in an era when big box stores and online retailers dominate. It stands out with service, period. Come here, and be greeted by someone you likely know, who *knows you*. Set up a business account, and you'll be on a first name basis with staff who know what you're looking for and can guide you to it, quickly. There's no scavenger hunt over 200,000 square feet of store involved! You still get the buying power of Ace Hardware and the brands they are known to carry. A few years ago they added a lumber barn with common cuts of wood, and they have a section of the parking lot that has added a seasonal greenhouse, bagged mulch, stone, formed concrete, and rugged lawn furniture. This store has a full-service repair shop for lawn equipment -- the only one in town. They'll handle everything from sharpening the blades on a lawnmower to repairing an engine on a gas weed eater. I have used them. They'll get it running, and they're affordable. As an added bonus, it's two blocks from our house, so they get a lot of traffic from us, plus, we'd prefer to spend an extra dollar or two here than go to the all-mart here in town. BUY LOCAL, FOLKS!Oh, for our handicapped friends, there are no steps or obstructions and the registers are easily-accessible. The aisles can be a bit narrow for wider chairs, and there are a few awkwardly placed columns due to it being an older building. Some of the products are necessarily placed on higher shelving/pegs, BUT this store is ALWAYS well-staffed, and you WILL be able to find someone to assist you!
