I would give 0 stars if I could! Terrible they don’t care about animals at all. Takes a veterans dog away for NOTHING, bc someone cut his fence and took the dog. & won’t let him see his dog. Now all of a sudden dog is missing and not there! What happened? What did they do to that dog?? I wouldn’t trust a hamster or even a rat with these people they do not care for the animals or what happens to them. WORST PLACE EVER

Saw a post about them taking a veterans dog and not giving the dog back. The dog didn’t even need to be taken away. It’s flooding my fb right now. This is just awful.

Someone threw kitten out of their car in a bag 2 weeks ago. We fostered them until the shelter had room. We already have 3 of our own and just couldn't keep extra kittens. They were curtious, and while listening to the receptionist, hearing her ask someone to please not just post pets on Craig's list and fb marketplace because sometimes really awful things happen to the pet.

This shelter lies about their dogs being “dog friendly.” They state they do “dog testing” but when questioned about it, they wouldn’t tell us and were very rude.We had recently adopted a dog from them a couple months ago and it was emphasized this boy was dog friendly, as this was something very important to us…turns out he is very reactive. When we called the shelter to just inquire about more information or history on him, they were rude and told us to just get a dog trainer. We are working with a dog trainer and of course going to put the time and money in to help him..I would have just appreciated some honesty.People deserve to know the truth so they can understand and are capable of providing the best care for their adopted babies. I understand that all shelters don’t know the background of each animal there, but they shouldn’t lie about their “dog testing” or the “friendliness” of their dogs just to get them adopted out. Not everyone will have the money, resources, time, or home environment to attend to reactive or aggressive dogs.**they also delete negative reviews. This is the second time I have had to post this**

The executive director on the board is extremely rude to out of county facilities when they don’t take out of county surrenders oh and also they make “tough decisions” daily which means they do euthanize for space instead of making the public be patient

If your looking for a pet I would recommend our C.C. Humane Society! They are the best. Have had my little girl for 6 years.

We are so happy with our adoption experience! We were given all the time we needed to visit and make the decision to bring our Lucy home. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, especially with our pup having some traumatic experiences before she was taken to the Humane Society. Thanks to Victoria and her staff for our fantastic adoption experience!

Our family has adopted multiple times from HSSCC. Every pet from here is well and thriving, after the wonderful and compassionate care they received from the shelter staff. The facility is clean and staff is very friendly. It is awesome to have staff members who are so well-educated on the pets and helpful in making forever home matches. Outstanding!

My daughter wanted a birthday party with her friends she asked that all her presents be donations for the cats instead. I reached out to the Bucyrus humane society to see what things they needed. They blew us away offering thier adjacent building for Free to hold her birthday party and offered to give the kids a tour to see the animals!! She has the best time and was so excited we were able to gather so many donations !Thank you so much for making her birthday so special.

Great place for the furbabies. They work really hard to place these animals in their forever home.
