Since this pharmacy was sold in 2020, it has steadily gotten worse. The better employees have retired, or moved on. There are still some good people here, but there are too many negatives with this pharmacy. They often don't have the medications, so you must wait until they order it.The prices for my mother's medications are way more expensive here, compared to every pharmacy in Bucyrus. I just figured out she will save $430 per year, by transferring to a different pharmacy. I've been told by a few people that this wasn't a good place to work. One positive is that they will deliver medications to elderly people, which was nice.

The Medicine Shoppe used to be a great local pharmacy and I used them for years. Lately it has gone downhill and I can no longer trust them to get my prescriptions correct or ordered in a timely manner. I have canceled all of my prescriptions and am having them sent to another pharmacy. I would not recommend them anymore.

I've been dealing with The medicine shoppe in Bucyrus for 6 years a lot of people in and out of there in the last couple months. I'm on Suboxone have been for 16 years and they look at me like a hey heroin addict. I went in there Tuesday to remind them to get the Suboxone in and they said no problem I go Friday to pick it up they didn't have it I depend on that medication like clockwork but then again they treat me like a heroin addict. Never did it in my life!!! I will be switching pharmacies in the near future.

I had trouble getting my daughters medication from a different pharmacy, they wouldn't even call around for me to see who had it. I stopped in to the medicine shop and they took excellent care and personally called me 2x to update me when they got it and filled it. Everyone is so nice and very helpful!

Everyone at this drug store is very nice, caring and attends to details. It's truly very easy to reach a pharmacist and ask him questions. It takes forever to talk to someone at the neighboring Walmart pharmacy. It amazes me how they remember my mother's name whenever she is there to get a vaccine or pick up one of her meds. Most recently, Elizabeth, the owner, introduced blister packaging to my mom. My mom fell in love with it. It helps organize all of her 7 pills to be taken by day of the week and time of each dosage per day. She loves it so much, it makes her life easier and it gives me peace of mind that my mom takes her meds on time. Thank you Medicine Shoppe pharmacy for all you do.

I met with the Pharmacist a month before transferring my prescriptions to be sure of the process to sync meds and get a month supply in daily dose packsPros: The Medicine Shoppe will put your medications into a monthly daily dose pack. Once they make errors they will help a little to correct them.Cons: 1)The Medicine Shoppe App will not work with the Bucyrus store. But if you go to their website they do have an RX App. The App does list your medications but is not useful for much else.2)They say they will sync your medications so you pick up once a month. But they really don't. I transferred my prescriptions from Walmart were I had 10 prescriptions. I had to stop at Walmart weekly for medication pick ups. I was enthused to have a once a month pick up. But unlike DrugMart that synced my wife's by working with doctors and insurance, The Medicine Shoppe just waits until the date the last prescription is ready to fill before filling them all. So I had to go without some medications for two weeks while they waited for the time of the last prescription to be filled. That's actually unacceptable.3) My doctor made a mistake. She prescribed one of my pills once a day that was supposed to be twice a day. I notified The Medicine Shoppe through the RX App on March 16th 2023 about the error. They gave a vague reply. I notified them of the error again through the app on March 24th.4)My medications were to be ready on March 27th. On March 29th I still had not heard from them. I signed up for Text Messaging and App notifications. Neither worked. I called and they said yes they were ready. Once there I did confirm they use texts and App notifications. The pharmacist did confirm I was signed up.5) I got to the pharmacy and bought my prescriptions. They were dispensed incorrectly. The Lisinopril was one dose instead of twice a day. My two messages starting 13 days ahead went unheard.6) The pharmacist had me contact my doctor. They seem unwilling to work with doctors and insurance to correct errors.7) Even with 13 days and two notices to correct errors I was given it's my problem to correct them. The pharmacist did give me a reduced rate on the 30 extra pills I needed but I had to tear the daily medication packs apart myself and add the missing medication.8) My prescriptions were 50% more expensive at The Medicine Shoppe. So you're paying extra to get the daily doses. I was told by the pharmacist on duty when I contacted them initially that the pricing was similar to Walmart. That's not true.9) The dose packs are not marked with days of the week nor with morning and evening. You have to mark them yourself. Why use them? It's tough to stomach the lack of follow up and follow through. Especially the hesitation to work with insurance and doctors. They seem to want every prescription to be sent in perfect and the insurance to be perfect. No going back when issues come up. It sucks so far. But my hope is that once I get everything set up I get my medications once a month and will be OK for a while. Yet to be seen.If you have elderly persons needing monthly daily dose prescriptions I would not have them contact this pharmacy. Someone younger and sharper needs to go in the pharmacy and set things up. No messaging, no phone calls. Those forms of communication do not work with this pharmacy. And physically check you prescriptions for errors before leaving when you pick them up.My next monthly pack is due before April 27th 2023. I will update this review based on how the Text and App notifications come through and if the medications are filled accurately without issues.

Horrible pharmacy. They never have the medications, they tell you that they will have your medication ready then inform you they have to order it and it will still be 3 days before they have it. I am tired of dealing with them and will be switching to Rite Aide, at least they actually carry medications.
