So glad we found this spot while visiting the area. So yummy we ate breakfast 2 days in a row. Breakfast sandwiches were tasty. Ice tea was good and chocolate milk was fresh made. Will totally visit again if we are back in town.

Wow it’s really sad to see the owner of a local cafe have no regards or respect for his customers. The other one star reviews I just read couldn’t be more accurate. When the owner of an establishment acts hostile, the staff also thinks it is ok to disrespect the customers.I miss the old Peaberrys Cafe.In reply to your hostile response: it was not me, I have not been to your establishment in well over a year. Was just talking to friends about how sad it is that it’s not the same. I have to say your responses to poor reviews really highlight your personality though! ?

I ordered an “egg platter” and was told it only contained 2 eggs and toast. The price was listed as 7.99, so basically eight dollars. They asked me if I wanted three eggs instead. So I said yes, because I’ve never heard of an egg platter only containing two eggs. I also said I wanted only egg whites. I was told a third egg, being only the egg white, was extra and was then charged $2.29 additional for this. I requested rye toast with butter. So apparently, if each egg in the original platter was priced similarly, I was charged nearly $4 for four half slices of slightly stale rye bread, toasted. The egg whites were soppy. The atmosphere was bland and food tasted very mediocre, yet I was charged over $10 with tax for this! The amount of eggs I received seemed paltry to me and did not make me full. I will never return here and give Peaberry’s my business as it is neither worth my time or money. *Edit;March 1,2024: I arrived here with my 75 year old mother around 9 a.m. As she can vouch for me, I as always, was extremely polite to your staff lady, who commented nicely on my hand knit scarf, and I asked two questions, very demurely, about the meal and price. In no way did I ever criticize or mistreat any worker(s). I will however, honor your request and not return to this establishment. Thank you and good day sir.

I ordered the "fried everything" and my wife ordered a croissant filled with egg, sausage and cheese. Mine ok with big portions of everything but my wife complained to me about the croissant being soft and chewy and appeared nothing like the photo on the menu. About the same time, the chef (maybe owner?) came into the body of the restaurant to talk to his customers. When he asked my wife, she told him she wasn't very happy and when she offered a suggestion on how it could be improved, she was told if she didn't like his food, she should go elsewhere. So, I'm giving 3-stars because if he doesn't want to know what we think of his food, don't ask! Stay oblivious to suggestions back in the kitchen! Front of restaurant lady was amazing and overall a friendly place if you don't answer when asked what you think of the food. Don't get the fruit. It's definitely not worth $5.I just read your response and I'm shocked! We didn't ask for any discount. Indeed, if you ask your waitress you will discover that I gave her a very substantial tip. My wife only gave you her opinion after you asked for it. I was having a friendly and pleasant conversation with an elderly couple about other places to visit in the area and I had no interest in recruiting them for any purpose! I wish you well but with your attitude, I'm surprised you're still in business. If you read my other hundreds of reviews, I think you'll find they are pretty unbiased as was my original post on your restaurant, especially after you were so rude to us. I even gave you (and have left) a 3-star instead of the one you now deserve.

I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich. It came all microwaved and soggy with plastic cheese at the bottom. The owner passed by to ask how we liked the food. I told him not much. He said next time go to Wendy's. I told him croissant should be crispy. He said that is how he likes itI never asked you for free anything. I ate my mini croissant and was planning to leave and not come back. You came to our table and asked how was it. If you didn't want to know what we felt you shouldn't have asked. Very rude.

As I travel across the country, I try to stop in small, quaint diners. I was pleasantly surprised at the Peaberry Café food, atmosphere, and very attentive and friendly staff. I would recommend it to anybody traveling through this area.

I always forget about Peaberry's being back at The Shops. I was excited to try out their melt sandwich, and was asked to pay $1 extra as their "melt" didn't come with cheese. I quickly Googled whether a melt came with cheese, just to be sure I wasn't losing my mind... and, sure enough, that's WHY it's called a melt - the melted cheese. Anyway, I discuss this with the gal that waited on me, as well as the manager. I was still required to pay $1 extra for cheese. It was a horrible experience, especially when the sandwich came with chicken and I asked for no chicken - so they saved money there, then made an extra $1. They say that you'll never forget the way someone made you feel, and I won't forget how I was made to feel that day! My business has been lost, sadly.

Today I walked In with a Starbucks coffee since I came from Barnes and noble. I did not realize I could bring it in and if there was a sign I did not see it as I was chasing my 1 year old. While ordering the owner aggressively told me he wouldn’t allow that in there and his coffee was better etc etc. if he would have NICELY told me to pour the coffee into another cup I would have gladly done so and apologized. Due to his poor attitude we will not be returning.

Such an excellent little establishment they have classy yet, not choosy or bougie food! And they have all of the coffee and homemade energy drinks anyone could need to get through the day! I strongly recommend one of their burgers or one of their breakfast items. The staff are all nice and generally knowledgeable the owner is a blonde haired guy with glasses that comes to work everyday in his own store without need, and every day in a Miami Vice Hawaiian button up also without said fail LOL 5 out of five love it!
