Large selection of boots and western cloths

My first experience with Bootbarn was at the Canton, OH location. The brand/style I wanted for my first two pair of western boots were Moonshine Spirit Chocolate & Brown.
Unfortunately, the size I needed for the brown was not in store, and the chocolate pair was a bit worn with creases and marked up from being display on the shelf. I decided to order both pair online with hopes of receiving a new/unused/unmarked pair, and chose in-store pickup. I included 4 pairs of pants, a third boot (black) from Moonshine Spirit and a coat. It was nearly a $900.00 order.
I had concerns after ordering that I might still get the used pair from the store and upon returning for the pickup of the brown & chocolate boots, I was given worn and marked pairs, bagged, from the shelves. I immediately checked the boots and found the same creases, marks and wear that voided me purchasing the pair I tried on. In addition to the wear and marks, the right boot of the brown pair was extremely discolored. The other had obvious black chalky marks that the store manager or key holder attempted to rub out. I argued my disappointment in the quality of the set I received. Eventually the store offered to reorder the boots again from their handheld. I reluctantly reorder suspecting that the process through the store would detour to pulling a new pair from their warehouse. That was not the case.
The reordered set was delivered to my address conveniently between other ordered items. The added Black Moonshine Spirit pair came in a box, brand new. However, yet again, I received the reordered set with multiple creases from wear, smudges and this time faded material on the sides. These issues, and the previous set issues, were obvious damage and not correlated to the distressed look of the style.
Now receiving a second marked & creased set of boots, I decided to return the damaged set and pants. Only this time I was sent a customer review from Bootbarn support that included a discount coupon, and a contact to place another reorder with customer service.
Once again, I reluctantly placed the order on the phone with a representative, suspecting that with the complaint acknowledged there wouldn't be a reoccurrence of the disappointment. I deliberately asked if they can reassure that it was a new pair this time. The 3rd order eventually arrived and once again, creases and damage on the brown and chocolate Moonshine Spirit boots.
I had to now make a 3rd 40 minute round-trip to the Canton store to return items. At this point, the travel & time between returns has cost more than any discounts provided on the boots regardless of a full refund.
Add that on the 3rd trip the store employee argued with me that the condition of the boots were correlated with the distressed look, without having looked at them first. Then proceeded to suggest the creases, worn & phaded spaces, and black smudges that I'm pointing out are how they come from the manufacturer. And are not from wear and time on the shelves from being tried on by multiple customers. To where I responded that there's a quality control issue in that regard. Here she discloses that all orders are pulled from the shelves unless every store in the territory is out of the ordered pair. Only then do you get a new pair, but pay the same price regardless.
I was not interested in paying full price for used/creased/worn boots. Most certainly not for my first pair. The stored allowed me to put together the least damaged pairs of the boots to make the 4th set. Still, dissatisfied in the overall experience; having paid nearly full price for damaged boots, wasting gas and time on multiple trips for returns, and being argued with against the obvious poor condition of the boots.
I would have easily accepted a discount or giftcard for the condition of the 2nd set but that wasn't an option. I'll be reluctant to purchase again

Extremely rude, assumed I couldnt afford the boots and told me to shop in the mens section. That they “dont sell boots like the ones you’re wearing”. I buy boots to wear, not for fashion. The worst customer service I’ve ever gotten, wouldnt even help me look for my size.

There were only two employees working on a Sunday afternoon and they were being kept pretty busy by the steady stream of customers that they had. The employees explained that they do have boot stretching available if it is needed as we were looking for wide mouth boots. We found some boots and leather treatment that we were satisfied with and walked out with a new pair of boots for my wife.

While this store does sell a variety of quality boots, over-priced jewelry, that'll turn your fingers green, and belt buckles, you'd be better off shopping at a nearby Kohl's or Dillard's or even shopping online for your boots. the management is shaky at best and oftentimes will not come up to you for assistance if you are not white or caucasian; my husband took our 5 year old son into the store (he's of hispanic descent but his family's been in the US for generations now) and struggled getting the attention of the employees, and when he did they would quickly dismiss themselves. additionally, I witnessed multiple employees point and laugh at a customer behind his back due to him looking too feminine since he had makeup on; the man was with his young daughter who also was wearing over exaggerated makeup
