Rx is never in stock. Call them a week ahead of time and ask them to order it to avoid delays....show up on Rx day and they tell you they have to order it. They will act as if this is normal, and you're the crazy one for expecting them to have your medicine when it's due. I go above and beyond to assist them in their procurement process and they still mess it up. Impressive

Never in stock. Call days before to confirm it will be ready and they still tell you give them some time. I've never seen anything like it, pharmacy is horrible

I love this store! It is my go-to for quick stop and grab items, and saves me from navigating the larger grocery store. There is always a great selection, and deals to match!

"Discount Drug Mart, we give you the run-around!" Dishonesty and lack of accountability. Went to pick up 2 prescriptions called from urgent care to DDM Hills and Dales pharmacy. I arrive at pharmacy desk 11:50 and showed urgent care paperwork with my name and urgent care sending the scripts to pharmacist worker and asked if they received my prescriptions. She goes to a computer. Talks to the worker there and then comes back and says 'no, no prescriptions'. I sat at chair in waiting area and attempt to call urgent care. No luck. Then check with pharmacist worker 5-10 minutes later 11:55. I am again told there are Still no prescriptions. Leave store at noon and am heading back to the urgent care. Finally get urgent care on phone, and they state they sent prescriptions at 11:30 and would call to verify receipt. So I turn back around to go to pharmacy. As I'm turning around near the GFS Store, at 12:10, two minutes later I get the DDM text saying the two prescriptions are ready for pickup. Remained polite to everyone back at the pharmacy and asked if they'd gotten a call from urgent care. All 5 or 6 staff ignored my question. They looked at the floor. Looked at the ceiling. Pretended to keep working. Looked everywhere but at me. Said nothing to me. At that point, I knew everyone knew they screwed up. I pointed out no one is telling me what happened. No one, and I mean no one, stepped up to explain UNTIL one of the pharmacists (the female pharmacist, not the male pharmacist who kept at his monitor and did nothing at all to help) steps up to the counter, raises her voice at me with a "What do you want, sir!" I said an apology and explanation. Her response: "Well I'm sorry." It wasn't an apology. It was a defensive argument meant to try to intimidate, to get me to drop the issue and/or tell me she didn't want to deal with what happened. I said "you had my prescriptions at 11:30 according to M_____ at the urgent care." At that point, a worker at the back computer defiantly and accusatorily asserted at me "We did NOT get your prescriptions at 11:30. Our time stamp says we got them at 11:40 a.m. It's right here. It's even time-stamped!" PROVED MY POINT EXACTLY! Caught in their own lie by their own admission. Beautiful. They indeed had my prescriptions for 20 minutes by the time I appeared and inquired of their status. Filed formal complaint with DDM Corporate in Medina that very afternoon. Asked corporate to pull the pharmacy video so they could see and hear what happened. Don't have to take my word for it. Don't have to ask if I was polite with all concerned: I was, but I also wanted some honesty and some accountability. Ultimately the fact I was looking for some honesty and an explanation is what made the pharmacist staff angry and defensive. The pharmacists' demeanor and lack of professionalism was really surprising and not something I expected from someone of her status and position, but once that standard of behavior is set others working with the "professional" will sure seem to follow the example wherever that example leads. On Wednesday (yesterday) I did call DDM Corporate to ask if more was needed from me and if I was going to hear back. The customer service rep who took my complaint on Monday said she had relayed the concern to the person responsible for investigating the matter. She told me she did her job so I have to take that at face value. But delay handling dishonesty and lack of accountability simply condones the same. This is the kind of thing management needs to get on quickly if it takes its customer service seriously; delay encourages more of the same poor behavior. Transferring prescriptions to another pharmacy today. Not shopping at DDM any more. Other people sell the commodities DDM sells. I would rather take the chance of getting or not getting poor treatment somewhere else rather than go somewhere where I know I will be be treated with this kind of dishonesty.

I had an issue with the pharmacy subbing a prescription without asking me first about doing that, which caused me to pay for something that I could not use due to adverse reactions from the drug they subbed and since I didn't open the bag until I got home, I had to absorb the cost of $61 script that I had to throw away. It taught me a lesson that at this particular pharmacy, I need to check my bag Before I leave the counter to make sure it is what I called in. I made a return trip back to the pharmacy to make sure this will not ever happen again and they said they couldn't do anything to make it right since I took it out of the store. On a positive note, I called Matt D., the Store Manager, and he was very gracious about it and did what he could to make it right since it was clearly a communication fallout at the pharmacy level (my doctor confirmed they did not call in what was subbed by DDM). I will give this pharmacy another chance only because I know the pharmacy staff deals with a lot of volume of filling scripts and mainly because of Matt D., Store Manager at the Hills & Dales location, so a Big thank you to Matt for his great customer service skills.

I chose Discount Drugs on Hills and Dales due to their competitive prices and proximity to my new address in Ohio. The male pharmacist Nick and a woman who usually assists him (Vicky?) were very professional, took time to answer my questions, and explained things that caused issues, such as possible drug interactions. I began to notice that the times I went to pick prescriptions up when the female pharmacist was working, she frequently badmouthed customers to the other women working there. I started experiencing rudeness both in their mannerisms at the counter, and in tone of voice on the phone. The first time I went back and spoke to the female pharmacist at store #42, and asked her if she had a problem providing mutual respect, and if so, I would take my business elsewhere. Things improved for a while, but then picked up again. The women working with the female pharmacist were like members of the "mean girls" club. Several would make eye contact but refuse to help, or provide service, unless others began lining up behind. When they said an Rx would be ready in a couple days, they never called, and when it wasn't ready, there was never an explanation for that, either. I lost count of all the times they did NOT follow through on their word, or the increasing rudeness. When Nick and his associates were on duty, not only did I get prompt service, but they would compare costs vs Good Rx and their own discount program. When the prescriptions were filled by the "mean girls" they opted for the more expensive option, even knowing I am on SS and paying cash out of pocket. In fact, this last visit, one of the women got in an argument about how SHE too is on SS and disabled, but she HAS to work. I refuse to continue giving my money to this pharmacy. Poor service, lack of follow through, and even shorting prescriptions. This most recent time they gave me 4 pain relief patches, which cost me half as much as I usually pay for 15. When my doctor showed me that the doctor had sent over a prescription for 15, there was not even an apology. To get the rest of it filled, I would have to pay the higher processing fee, through no fault of my own. They said they had only had 4 in stock at that time, but they did not mention in the filled pkg that it was only a partial fill; they did not notify me when I picked it up, or make any attempt to obtain the additional ones needed, or even ask me if I was willing to ACCEPT a partial prescription. They did say *I* should have checked my prescriptions when I picked them up. I regularly have multiples, and they have 7-10 labels all stapled together with the bottles inside. This is also a recurring prescription, so they should have seen that.
I transferred all my prescriptions to the branch on Portage, #51, and the difference is night and day. Much better customer SERVICE. Lowest cost pricing. Kindness. Respect.

I have beef going to Discount Drug mart for years and now the service is getting so bad maybe I need to change.
I recieved a text on Wednesday that my prescription was ready. I went to pick it up on Sunday and they did not have it and said it would be there on Monday after 2pm. were 3 girls working. No one noticed I was there. I had to call out to them to get someone’s attention.
This is the 3rd time this has happened.
I have been taking this medicine and getting it filled here for over 10 years.
It is totally in acceptable for this to happen
plus now they get a big round pill that’s hard to swallow not the long thin pill I have gotten for years. If this happens again I may need to go to a different pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled

My wife and I switched from Walgreens about 3 months ago and I wish I would have switched sooner. DDM’s service, pricing, delivery and plain old excellent service is unmatched. It’s a pleasure to call or go there just to witness good service in general

My mother just came back from her appointment to get her Covid shot and had the worst encounter with a EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional pharmacist. My mother had a 2:30 appointment and from the moment she got to the counter she was treated with disregard. Krysten told her to “sit down it will be awhile.” My mom let her know she had her dog in the car with her since every other time she had gotten a shot there with an appointment it was a quick in and out process. My mother WAS a loyal customer to this pharmacy and has never had any issues with them before.Instantly the woman scolded her for having a dog in the car and asked if she’d treat her children that way and said “hopefully your dog doesn’t die.”My mom was instantly put off and asked for their papers back and said they’d go elsewhere. The woman retorted back that they couldn’t do that bc their insurance was already being charged and they would have to wait or pay for it anyways. My dad was with my mom so he waited while she went back and forth to be with the dog bc the dog is a child to my mother. After a 15 min wait, my mother asked if they’d be seen soon, and Krysten asked her if she ever waited at a doctor appointment before and that she was a doctor and she had until 3 bc my father was with her and that was HIS scheduled time. That twisted logic is assuming a lot and again not respecting each customer’s time. Finally after being back and forth to check on the dog my mother received her shot at 2:50. The final insult came when while administering the shot Krysten decided to leave one final snarky remark and say, “hopefully your dog isn’t dead.”My mother was upset and came to my house along with my father to recount their horrific experience and to have me help make sure that “Doctor” Krysten got a proper review. I am disgusted that any professional would treat a patient/client in such a manner. Krysten and her employers should be embarrassed by her lack of simple manners and professionalism.
