This shop caught out-of-spec cylinder heads during a major Subaru engine repair, rejected them, absorbed the issue internally, and completed the engine correctly to manufacturer specification instead of cutting corners. That decision protected the final outcome rather than the invoice.
The repair required full teardown and outside machine work. When the heads came back over-machined, they measured, stopped the job, sourced proper replacements, and finished the engine only after it was fully verified and running correctly.
Based on how this was handled, I’d trust this shop again for serious mechanical work where accuracy and accountability matter.

My first experience with Fix it with Fred was great! I was pretty nervous about what could be wrong with my vehicle, but Ash was very kind and patient. He was very informative and answered all my questions. The report they provided was helpful and extremely detailed. I will definitely be using Fix it with Fred in the future if needed.

They took my truck in right away, diagnosed everything within 24 hours and sent a quote for the repairs. During the entire process they kept me informed on the progress. That is my work vehicle and they were able to get me back on the road ASAP!

Fred and his staff are quite frankly, the best, most reasonably priced, thoroughly competent automotive repair facility I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Fred and his staff have accurately diagnosed and corrected issues on my vehicles every time. Their estimates are accurate and usually less than anyone else. I am currently having them fix an issue that was created by the last mechanic I trusted. Rather than take it back to the other guy for the 4th time, I'll have Fred fix it right.
Can they do everything a dealership can? No. but for those few things that require specialized equipment, you are far better off with taking your vehicle here.
If you have issues with your vehicle, you can trust that Fred and his stall will not steer you wrong.

It’s absolutely refreshing to find a repair shop that is honest about the repairs needed. It’s so easy to take advantage of someone due to their lack of knowledge with cars. My mother's car needed some pretty serious repairs. I chose this this shop based on the positive feedback and location.
After getting the car to them and explaining the issues they checked it out thoroughly and came back to me with a list of repairs that were needed, including photos of the issues. We decided to proceed with the repairs and were told it would be about two weeks until the work was complete. Turns out they were able to get it done in one, and the final price was less than the original quote!
I was very happy with this group in general and Ash specifically. Thank you again!
