From the jump, I received nothing but support from aisle 9. They have been very understanding about the fact that I was in the middle of a move from North Dakota to Dayton. I think I had researched over 10 different shops in the Ohio area before landing on this one. Inside is very clean and welcoming. Normally shops feel dark and heavy but this one had the opposite effect.
When I got paired with Luen. I wasn’t sure about it at first but after meeting him he was extremely confident, reassuring, and skilled. I knew after our consultation that he was going to absolutely knock it out of the park and I was absolutely beyond excited. Not only did he do my arm but he finished my leg piece as well. I was super grateful because I know it can be kind of a hit or miss when another artist does half of it, so when he offered to finish it I had no other answer but yes and he knocked that one out of the park too.
The time after the consultation and tattoo day was built on great communication. The actual tattoo day was super calm, we took many breaks and he paid attention and is very detail oriented. He was very understanding and empathetic about how I felt and there was always great conversation. Just over all made sure I was taken care of.
Communication went on even weeks after to make sure I was healing well. I had zero hesitation with any question I had since I was on holiday. Did what I could to take care of myself and my new tattoos but I still had questions about healing and was more than comfortable with shooting him a text and asking. Talks of touch ups are in the works. 😊
10/10 recommend. Seriously, do it. You won’t regret it.

I want to share my experience at Aisle 9 Tattoo in Dayton to help others make informed decisions. I got tattooed by Luen, who initially came across as very kind and professional. He even bought me dinner during our session, which made me feel comfortable and confident in trusting him with my tattoo.
I paid $2,200 for the piece, but during the session, he unexpectedly charged me an additional $200 without a clear explanation. I didn’t question it at the time because I was trying to stay focused on the experience and believed in his expertise.
Unfortunately, the final result was deeply disappointing. The line work is thick and uneven, the shading is extremely grainy, and I experienced noticeable blowout. I was devastated to realize that I hated the tattoo I had waited so long to get. It wasn’t at all what I expected from a professional at that price point.
When I reached out to Luen afterward to express my concerns, he made no effort to address the issue or offer any form of resolution. Now, I’ve started laser tattoo removal, which is expected to cost me around $5,000 on top of what I already paid.
This experience has been emotionally and financially draining. I’m sharing this to encourage others to really do their research and be cautious about who they trust with permanent work on their body. Just because someone is kind during the process doesn’t always mean they’ll deliver the quality you deserve.

Amazing experience! This was my first time booking an actual appointment for a tattoo. (I’ve only done walk ins in the past at other shops). I had some anxiety coming into the appointment as it was my first bigger tattoo but Preston delivered an amazing tattoo! He took a simple idea and made it into something I’ll cherish forever! The whole team was amazing from Preston to Brad and everyone else who was there! They were kind every step of the way and that made the whole experience much more enjoyable!

Ciara was the artist for my two (yes two) tattoos today. Worked so well with me to get size and aspect the way I wanted. Incredibly crisp lines were a must on the script and logo, she nailed it. 3rd tattoo at Aisle 9, it's legit.

Where to even begin!!! I sent in a request of a picture of birth flowers. I wanted a flower for me, my boyfriend, and our daughter. I asked for something simple without much color and I was recommended to Preston! His Instagram is @tattsbypusha_p. He was very open and listened to what I wanted. We had our consult over text, got it all set, and I scheduled an appointment on Booksy. He had a bit of time available and it was super easy to get an appointment set up!
When I got there the studio was absolutely beautiful. I forget who greeted me, but he was super nice and very welcoming. I LOVED the painting or drawing that they had up, it looked like someone was still working on it, it was massive, beautiful, and very relaxing to look at. I have 15+ tattoos and this shop is honestly the cleanest, most relaxing, and welcoming one I’ve been to.
Back to Preston! He took his time, let me pick out my colors, and did such a beautiful job. I will be back in the future.
