I called ahead on the day of the huge storm to ensure they were open 24 hours. I only live 15 min. They told me to bring my cat in. . My cat has diabetes & was very sick. I drove right down. I arrived and was told my cat was not an emergency. He had been throwing up for 2 days and looked terrible. I was crying begging them to help my cat. They were cold & rude. I literaly drove there in a blizzard and called 1st. Im still home with a very ill cat. I will be down in person to speak with the head vet. I was mortified and im not sure its even legal to turn away an emergent pet. How dare you tell me my cat wasn't an emergency, ?! I spent 2 hours shoveling snow and drove in a blizzard to get him there, ...I called before I left, its a 15 min drive. And the snotty gal at the desk when I started crying and the condescending tech from the back.

My husband and I cannot thank Care Center enough. We unexpectedly had to put our 15-year-old fur baby to sleep and were referred to Care Center by our cat's veterinary clinic because the need for care was immediate and her regular veterinarian was performing surgeries. We were wary of having to go somewhere we were unfamiliar with, however, in a horrendous situation, Care Center made it bearable. The staff was so thoughtful and professional even while we were 'ugly crying'. I know this wasn't their first 'rodeo', but they gave us the ability to navigate a gut-wrenching scenario a little easier.

We brought our new rescue pup here a few nights ago on day 2 s/p a back leg amputation. His medication regimen given to us by the shelter clinic did not seem to be controlling his pain, and the e-collar we were provided was not long enough to stop him from accessing his incision (nor was a donut collar we had bought online). He was anxious, restless, and lunging for his incision all day, which had us quite tired and emotional.
We came in late at night and were checked in by the front desk staff and vitals assessed by the tech in the first 20 mins. The wait after that was pretty long due to the late hour and the amount of 4-legged patients who were sicker/needed to be seen sooner than us, but overall we were so, so happy with the genuine care and love everyone showed our sweet baby. His pain was assessed by Dr. Bradenburg, where he was given a long-acting pain medication. We were also prescribed a PRN medication option for breakthrough pain. She was very kind, caring, and informative during our visit. Everyone we encountered listened to us and didn't make us feel rushed or like we were overreacting. Our little Gimpy man has been SO much happier the last couple days and is finally resting comfortably for long periods, and his new e-collar is the perfect size to keep him from getting to his incision. We are so grateful for all of the staff's kindness and for being available at less than ideal hours. Thank you for the excellent care!

I had to take my rescue here who had cancer, she had a huge tumor. I was told she would not live long. Unfortunately she had another tumor in her stomach. Within 24 hours she stopped eating and walking. I couldn't let her body suffer any longer. The staff got her back soon as we got there. They were very compassionate and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. They gave me a list of companies for cremation. They told us step by step what was going to happen and what to expect. Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion

Back in 2021, I lost my 15 yr old lab, Taylor. She just got old & was shutting down. These folks understood the pain this old man was going thru. They made making the final decisions as painless as possible for me, explaining my options.
I would recommend them.

New Years eve 25 @12:31pm Karen and I brought our Lucy in for a dire life situation. From the initial reception through our discharge we were given such professional and compassionate care that is beyond compare.
Our journey began with despair and ended with confident optimism. Cheers to all.
We were advised and assisted in finding doable procedures within our limited finances. One less thang 🫶
We followed up on Jan 2 26 with our family vet since 76 (Northgate Animal Hospital, Huber Heights).
The combination of familiar friends with new friends entrusted with our fur care are now joyous. Lucy is back.

My chocolate lab, Duke, got hit by a car and passed away New Years morning. I took him to Care Center and they were extremely helpful with everything. The staff was extremely kind and we had his cremated remains within 2 days. We also got his paw print in clay, they gave us a very nice card with some of his hair, and cards with his nose print and more paw prints. I would definitely recommend this Vet to everyone.

I can honestly say this is the best facility to bring your pets to for an emergency. I brought my dog there today the staff is so caring and compassionate. Unfortunately the outcome was not good. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. I would recommend their care for pets.

I took my dog in on a Sunday night. They were pretty busy, but I wouldn’t have known other than the waiting room was full. The staff was very friendly and things went as fast as I could have hoped for. The price was reasonable as well. I would absolutely go there again in an emergency.

Our elderly cat was in bad health. We took her in to see what was going on with her, to see if anything could help her, or, if we would be faced with making the decision to end her suffering. She was getting around, eating, using her litter box hours before taking her in. She had labored breathing, but she was still getting around. Our intentions were to have her examined, that was all. We agreed to x-ray and blood work, that was all. We reluctantly let them take her back to get x-rayed and blood work. We were told it would take awhile so we would get a call with updates. We received a call asking if they could sedate her, because she wasn't beeing cooperative. Thinking it was a standard examination, again, reluctantly agreed. After the x-ray and blood work, we received a call that our cat was coming out of sedation fine and could be taken home. When we got her, she was near non responsive and thought it must just be the sedation. After a five minute drive home, out girl started suffocating. We weren't home 60 seconds and had to rush her back to the facility. By the time we got back, our little girl had suffocated violently in my wife's arms. This was horrifying for my wife and I. Instead of helping her pass comfortably, she suffered because of the incompetence of this facility. I do not recommend this facility.

When I brought my dog here on Saturday, I didn’t think I’d get to walk back out with him. Thankfully, after an entire week in the icu, he is home glaring at me on the couch. The care center saved his life, and I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am for each and every one of them. He was treated genuinely like family. Every vet tech, assistant, and doc that I met truly cared. Dr. Young is beyond amazing and worked tirelessly to figure out his diagnosis. Sam was so nice and thorough with explaining everything. I wish I knew more names but the whole week has been a bit of a blur. If you have an emergency, take your pet here. They are incredible.

It is convenient but as good as they are, do your homework before you need an emergency vet. Some vets offer emergency services, and then there is pet insurance.
Get a DNA on your cat or dog to head off common genetic problems before it becomes an emergency. Prevention is always better.
