We came to buy a water heater. We were pestered at store entry with HVAC hard push. Then, two HD employees separately came down the water heater aisle with aggressive pushy marketing for things we aren't here for. Not once did anyone even offer to get the plumbing rep. I am no longer shopping at HD.

I bought a brand new Moen faucet from The Home Depot in Centerville , Ohio. The box had a tight plastic band around it.When I opened the box at home, it contained an old, rusted faucet with hoses. Some shady sheister had placed their worn-out faucet in the box and had returned it to The Home Depot. In other words, they received a FREE faucet. The Home Depot should have opened the box and checked the contents BEFORE allowing a return. They allowed me to exchange the box for a new, unopened faucet, but it ended up costing me a lot of money. You see, I had hired a plumber to install the faucet, and he was still “on the clock.” I had to pay him over $100 for his time, because all of this happened during the time that I had hired him for the installation.
I’d like to add that Home Depot offered me nothing for my trouble—not even a gift card for future purchases. Nothing. They reached out to me asking for more information, but offered me nothing. Not even an apology.

Had a good experience at Home Depot today. I showed up to the Plumbing department with a pipe I wanted cut and fitted for a project. Nothing went as planned honestly. They seemed to think that the materials were sub par as the pipe would not thread correctly in the equipment. I didn't care though. I met two lovely women who were a delight to deal with and I thought it was more entertaining than anything else. I was happy that they were willing to try it, Anyway. Pipe cut, and the threading was acceptable enough for my purposes. I offered them a fiver and they declined stating they cant accept any tips. Professional or not, a nice personality and good customer service really does help. Anyway. Ill keep HD in mind the next time I need to make a larger purchase. Thank you.

Looked up what I needed online. It said it was in but it was not. Waited 10mins to get help. I needed 8 Lag screws and employee said my only option was to buy a box of 50. Waste of time.

Mark, the assistant manager, is awesome. The day before Thanksgiving, we went in right before closing to rent a dehumidifier and fan, and he went out of his way to help us out. Even though it was late and the store was about to shut down, he didn’t rush us or make us feel like an inconvenience. He made sure we got exactly what we needed and got everything set up.
You don’t see that kind of service often, especially during the holiday craziness. Mark went above and beyond, and we’re super thankful for his help!

Used Home Depot for a major purchase of over $6000 to do a flip house kitchen. I was given 1 year same as cash. Well 6 months in they charged me full interest and did not honor the 1 year same as cash. My payments went from 66 to 252. I called before they took the 252 out and let them know what they did. They gave me back the 1 year same as cash but said they could not adjust the payment since the statement already went out. This is the first time, and last time, I use them. Lowes and Menards have never given me any issues like this.

Absolutely will not ever go shopping at this home depot location ever again. Never have I ever gone in somewhere and felt so profiled in my entire life. Went here to buy misc items to build a chicken coop nails, bins a pencil etc and you'd swear from the treatment me and my brother received we were trying to run off with 5k in power tools. 6am at open we were the only two in the store, the staff kept following us, we were talking near the displays and every 5 mins they'd ask if we needed anything not in the friendly manner in the hurry up and buy manner like when staff wanna rush you out. Get to check out, the old woman working there injects herself into our checkout, we have two tubs two of the same box of nails and a pencil, insists on scanning each individual bar code despite them being the exact same thing like were trying to scam nails and pencils, then says we HAVE to show her between the tubs an we know why?!? Being 6am an me just wanting to cut the old lady a break I said sure, nothing there, da da data who woulda guessed we weren't stealing 69c pencils lmao, finally get done with her pay for everything and go to walk out, followed the entire way, an when we get the the exit another completely unrelated woman practically jumps out from behind the desk asking for our receipt for all the things we just paid for. Absolutely horrible staff horrible customer service horrible profiling will never shop here again lowes gets my business all the way. Idk if retail theft here is bad at all or not but yall gotta get it together. Unacceptable treatment.

On 9:10/24, I was in the main aisle looking at smoke detectors when a dog barked loudly right behind me a few times. I turned around startled and saw it was a larger dog about 5 feet away with no service vest on a leash held by a man. Before I even took my eyes off the dog the man started cursing at me. I never said one word, but after his cursing I positioned my cart in between me and the dog. He walked past me and continued cursing, and at that point, I asked are you talking to me? He continued with his curse words walking down the aisle, and I looked away.
I then walked to the checkout, but saw an asst. manager on the way & explained to her what happened and how threatened I felt. She said there’s nothing she can do about it. And then I went to check out with my purchases, and I can hear the same dog barking loudly in the interior of the store.
I was greatly disappointed that Home Depot would do nothing to protect me or other patrons from the trama and potential physical harm.
I normally love this store and in the past have been highly satisfied with dealings with the staff and management. Now I feel like I should carry mace if I’m in the store for my safety.
