I visit this store at least once a week. The young lad that works the checkout should be fired immediately. Frankly, I’ve never witnessed such atrocious employee attitude in a retail environment. I approached the checkout and waited for a moment while the associate finished up on his cell phone. He never said, how are you or did you find everything okay? He never asked for my rewards number, so I had to volunteer it. I had to reach for my receipt because otherwise I wouldn’t have walked out with it. I said a friendly “thank you” and I received no “thank you” in return or “have a nice day.”
Two visits ago, it was a similar story only he managed to say a few more words. He told me what a mistake it was to buy a master lock product. Their padlocks are junk, apparently, and he told me to adequately insure whatever the lock was attempting to keep safe.
“Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks.” Really?? This place is giving all the other helpful hardware folks a bad rap! Why would you put this employee forward facing in your store?

Absolutely worthless, unprofessional and rude. You’re much better off just avoiding this store…

They Had exactly what I needed and the place was well stocked. But don't show up any earlier then 8:00 am sharp... The employee stood in the doorway with the door locked and stared at me until 8 o'clock exactly lol. Just following rules I suppose

Updated weekly treated unfairly.
I will not be returning here. These folks were not much help. I went to buy a self propelled mower that I saw in the ace hardware adds. I told the guy what I wanted it was 419.00 just like the one in front of us. It looked the same the sign didn’t say push mower the signs next to it said self propelled mower so I guess we were both fooled and didn’t realize it was just a push mover and not the one advertised by Ace at 419.00 being I put gas and oil in it they said they could take it back. So now I will be glad to go to the big box stores. BTW I did mention that I was avoiding the big box stores to shop more local and mom and pop stores. I’m done with that now.
Update: 4-29-25 I have spent about 189.00 at other stores that I normally would just go to ACE but now that they are boycotted let’s see how much they miss out over the next 6 months. Updated weekly.
Yep no change same terrible management same unorganized place. It’s getting worse in my opinion.

I had to take a Lyft to Ace Hardware earlier today due to my car battery not connecting to the terminal. I arrived in a hurry so due Lyft waiting in the parking lot. When I arrived, an employee named Robert immediately initiated helping me find the right screw and nuts that would fit my 08 4runner. Robert was not only informative, but he took time to really diagnose what was needed, reviewing pictures of the battery that I had taken. He even offered me a complimentary screw because he noticed I was in a pinch, and he wanted to offer a friendly gesture. I proceeded to purchase some wire brushes, and took my ride home with the screw and nuts which ultimately fixed my problem.
I appreciate Robert’s assistance and friendly experience. I will be returning to this store in the future. Thank you.

This hardware store is a pleasure to visit; it's always clean, well-organized, and the associates are consistently friendly and eager to help. With reasonable prices to boot, it's my go-to spot for all my hardware needs.

We will never step a foot in any of this family’s stores again. I’m sure they could care less.

The boy at the front checkout was one of the rudest persons I’ve ever met. Needs to be taught manners and how to deal with people. Should probably just work in the back room or anywhere away from others. Other than that just your standard overpriced Ace Hardware.

I truly appreciate this store's engaging, hands-on approach. I consistently prefer them over the big chain stores!

They always seem to be helpful, but it was a wasted trip cause they didn't have the parts I needed. I still had to go to home Depot to get what I needed. I only needed a 3x2 PVC tee. So that is common enough they should have it in stock.
