Chardon Lakes Golf Course, established in 1931, features a classic 18-hole layout that combines the original nine designed by Bert Way with a newer nine crafted by Don Tincher and Carroll Bazler in 1963. Known for its beautiful grounds and welcoming atmosphere, the course is family-owned and well-maintained. Players appreciate the fun and challenging layout, particularly the three finishing holes on the back nine. The course is noted for its hilly greens, which can be tricky, with some players finding them slower than expected. However, many highlight the consistent condition of the greens and the overall quality of the course, making it worth the drive for golfers. The friendly staff, including the superintendent, adds to the positive experience. Overall, Chardon Lakes Golf Course is highly recommended as a must-play destination for golfers looking for an enjoyable round.
Great looking course. Professional and friendly staff. Love the new credit card reader at the driving range - don’t have to stop at the clubhouse first any more for tokens.

Chardon lakes is a very nice course. Very well maintained. However I didn’t like how they push the pace of play. I’m out playing golf to enjoy the outdoors and relax. Not get pushed by the ranger.

Entire course is lush and well maintained. However, greens are terribly slow. Some of the slowest I’ve played in a long time. Something about the CLE golf properties like St Dennis and Powderhorn. Extremely slow greens.
