Chardon Lakes Golf Course, established in 1931, features a classic 18-hole layout that combines the original nine designed by Bert Way with a newer nine crafted by Don Tincher and Carroll Bazler in 1963. Known for its beautiful grounds and welcoming atmosphere, the course is family-owned and well-maintained. Players appreciate the fun and challenging layout, particularly the three finishing holes on the back nine. The course is noted for its hilly greens, which can be tricky, with some players finding them slower than expected. However, many highlight the consistent condition of the greens and the overall quality of the course, making it worth the drive for golfers. The friendly staff, including the superintendent, adds to the positive experience. Overall, Chardon Lakes Golf Course is highly recommended as a must-play destination for golfers looking for an enjoyable round.
Eric the superintendent was very cordial and welcoming. It’s a classic course, I decided to play the black tees. If you play the black tees, be prepared for 100 yard, tight passages to the fairway. The greens and surrounds are very hilly, is it best to stay below the to be below the hole.

Beautiful course with a really fun layout. Made the hour drive out after seeing the recent positive reviews and we were not disappointed. This family-owned course does an amazing job maintaining the grounds.
