My Chihuahua was acting strange, panting , not acting herself at all. I called her normal vet whom she has seen since 6 weeks old, Proctorville Animal , they told me the urgent care was booked up for that day , (I called at 1pm) they said if your that worried take her to the ER. I know places are and get busy but I thought it odd that “urgent care” was pre booked even for the evening at 1pm , I have 4 dogs and a cat that we have had in their care : spent 1000s of dollars….called Chesapeake Veterinary and they told me to bring her in immediately, took their time with her , watched her behavior , staff was super nice and helpful and welcoming. Needless to say all 5 of my fur babies will be now be switched to Chesapeake for all their care and needs. Highly recommend. Oh and their prices were so much more affordable!!!!!

Dr. Williams and her staff are absolute angels. I've had some terrible experiences with vets in the past, but Dr. Williams' empathetic and nonjudgmental approach made me feel so much more at ease during an extremely difficult situation. Every single staff member was kind and knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond for my family and I. If you're looking for a place that truly cares about your beloved pets, you have to go here. I'm eternally grateful for their high level of care.

It was a wonderful experience with the veterinary team! Our puppy had an emergency situation where a stick got stuck horizontally on the roof of her mouth. Despite it being a busy weekend, they were able to accommodate her and provided excellent care. The receptionist was also very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease during a stressful situation.

My cat had a dental emergency and they worked him in immediately to be seen. What the cat needed was more than the clinic was prepared to do, but the vet spent an hour calling other clinics to get him in ASAP. We were able to get him in that day and surgery the next day and he’s doing great now.I appreciate their care and concern, I have no doubt without the vets help in getting him in elsewhere it would have taken days to get my cat help.

Wish I could put 10 stars! Go once & you won’t need to go anywhere else again. We’ve tried most of the local vets in Huntington, Proctorville, & Barboursville & this one by far is the best! Very affordable & great at their job! The staff is always so kind and helpful. The vet is really patient & informative. She always takes the time to listen & everyone is just so sweet and gentle with your pet. I absolutely love this place!
