History Store in Historic Downtown Chillicothe offers one of the largest selections of military and civilian miniatures in Ohio. The store has a huge choice of products and figurines from all eras, including scale model buildings, fighting vehicles, tanks, ships, and aircraft. It also features a very complete selection of historical books, with books aplenty and galore, plus limited edition prints, a children's section, a local history section, and gifts. Visitors can experience amazing customer service from knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful staff. The store is beautiful and awesome, with phenomenal displays of miniatures that customers could stare at for hours. There is so much to see and learn, with the owner being deeply knowledgeable and passionate about Ohio’s history, including the Eastern Woodland Indians and Civil War. Guests often plan to stay for a few minutes but end up spending well over an hour exploring, and they frequently plan to visit again.

Stumbled into this shop while visiting there area. They have a great assortment of figurines, as well as art, books, and other gifts. Very good book collection for military historians!

The miniatures / dioramas on display here are really amazing, well worth a visit. I went in expecting to just look, but walked out with a W. Britain model and couldn’t be happier with the quality. Wonderful shop owners as well!
