I have been coming here my whole life. It is one of the best parts about Chillicothe.

There was human fecal matter in the men’s showers when I went to swim. I’m not making this up. (:

YMCA better change with the times. There is relatively nothing at the Y for an active senior who still works full time days. No swimming after work, no exercise classes, nothing. I work 730-4. There is nothing available for me and lots and lots of working seniors like me.According to September 2020 AARP PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE article, "The US Essential Workforce Ages 50and Older, " an astounding 37.3% of the workforce is over 50. 14.7% are 60+.Wake up America. Retirement while you can still work is a thing of the past. Just like the one income family. Moms and dads have to work to keep their heads above water, and so do the elderly. With nothing offered for seniors in the evenings, and the pool monopolized by children, are you really being fair to the community as a whole? Seems more like you're catering to families because they pay more for a membership. Money is everything.

I was fired from here two years ago without a single write-up. They said I wasn't acting like the person in the interview. That I had bad posture and sat in the chair wrong. That I was too awkward with customers (even though I never had one complain about my hospitality). They hired someone new and then fired me the next morning. I was diagnosed autistic a month later. They fired me for being and I quote "immature and not as professional as they'd expect". I have a childlike demeanor due to autism but it never inhibited by ability to work. I was on time when my trainer was late by twenty minutes on several occasions. My male coworker made a joke about weed and I was the only one pulled into the office and yelled at for it, because I was standing next to him when he said it. They made it seem like he only said the joke because I was there and I'm immature and bring out immaturity in their staff. (Which is crazy since my own trainer and coworker prank called me on my second day of work and it really stressed me out but they weren't docked for being childish.) I'm just autistic. That's all. That was the reason I didn't "fit" well enough. I haven't worked since, I was traumatized by this experience and this rejection over my autistic traits I cannot control. They made up reasons to let me go without a care for my mental or emotional health. I am now on disability. 40 percent of autistic people are unemployed. It's because CEOs like the gentleman who runs the YMCA broke their spirits

This place is a joke, you pay money (more than most gym memberships) to be kicked out of the gym for little league basketball. They take up the gym multiple times a week for about 3 hours of the day. For the people that only go there to play basketball, it’s robbery. Taking money and giving nothing to show for it. Do not recommend this place

The Chillicothe YMCA is a great place for physical activity, weather it’s swimming, lifting weights, or running, the YMCA is at the top of the list. The YMCA is well organized with a nice staff and top of the line equipment. I recommend you go to the YMCA in Chillicothe, Ohio today!

The Ross Co. YMCA team, led by C.E.O. Steve Clever, change lives every day. This building offers a home for at risk youth, family childcare, after school mentoring, school aged athletics, adult fitness classes and senior wellness programs. The Ross YMCA is the most all-inclusive organization in Ross County and I'm a proud member. The YMCA works every day to ensure that all residents of Ross Co. have an equal opportunity to learn and grow.

I LOVE my Y! I joined the Y when I first moved to town. It provided a great place to meet people and get my children involved. I’ve been a member for 6 years now, and my Y family is an integral part of my life. The adult classes are great, the facility is clean and well-maintained and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Ross County is blessed to have this amazing facility.

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm welcome. Once you start coming, they all make a point to know you and call you by name. The staff is always so helpful with any need or questions you have. The YMCA has replaced the old workout machines and purchased the latest equipment all in the last year. The staff offers so many different classes at times that fit my schedule. The fitness trainers and their staff are great in helping you on new machines, designing a workout based on your level of exercise and helping you reach your fitness goals. There may be larger and glitzier facilities, but nothing tops the way the YMCA treats me like family every time I am there.

Our kids absolutely love going here. From the staff to the facilities there are a number of things that you can do to keep you busy. The fitness room has been updated and if you can be at one of the open swims that are available, you can enjoy the nice pool they have. All of the staff are friendly and can answer any questions that you may have. I highly recommend this place.

I love going to the YMCA just to work out on my own on the recumbent bike or to attend a class like “Chair Yoga”. It is helping me lose weight for an upcoming surgery and it is strengthening my knees and making it so it is easier for me to walk. Also it is an excuse to get out of the house for awhile and get active and be around friendly people. The YMCA is taking seriously the COVID precautions so you will be safe and be able to enjoy your time there.

Decent staff, decent facilities. Could definitely use an upgraded pool/ better aquatic facilities, but local swim teams produce high caliber swimmers regardless. Great coaching, and great team atmosphere

We love the YMCA, and we get so much out of our family membership! We've attended for group fitness classes, exercising, child watch (while we exercise), preschool/summer camp/day care, swimming lessons, athletics, and so much more. The YMCA of Ross County is more than a gym - it is an all-in-one, family-friendly go-to for us and others in our community!
