Big shout out to Paul L, who loaded 20, 40 lb bags of topsoil in my Outback professionally and cheerfully, paying attention to my instructions about how bags to go in because I like the weight to be balanced. As an older female customer, I actually avoid getting loading help at the bigger chains like L and HD because they can be condescending and ignore what I ask them to do. That is why the experience today with Paul L deserves five stars - he is one in a million, and I’ll be back to ACE Hyde Park again!

The place is fine the return policy is not. Bought a flex hose that was not good at all. I also bought a lock that was too small. I go to return it and they said I can’t take this back bc I can’t resell it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Now in their defense they are franchised out and I bought this at a different ace hardware. So this is what you tell me instead. Sir we are individually own and you will need to return this at the store you bought it from. But no this manager says I can’t take this back. Hands me items and that’s it. Like I said store is fine people are nice but return policy sucks.

I worked with the assistant manager today. I believe his name is Paul. He let me know what options I had available for an electric mower. When he didn't know the answer to a question, he looked up specifications and manuals to get the answers. This is the type of service that I typically get from Ace. That's why I always go to Ace first.

Exchanged a propane tank but did two separate orders. Lady in front was rude told me to leave tank outside and told me to walk to the back or the store, just to have the guy in the back not listen that i had two separate orders and complain that he had to walk me back to the front to get the tank? Very disorganized
