I have had AT&T for 10 years now and have always enjoyed the service. I just upgraded both phones on my two lines in June. The service was great and everything went smooth. Or so I thought. The next month’s bill (July) was higher which I was informed of and had no problem with as I was made aware of the fact and reason why. Now, August bill has rolled around and my bill is still higher than it was supposed to be and I was even informed of the amount my bill would be and it’s not matching up. Upon looking at the details of my bill I found the insurance add on was included with my upgrade but I was not asked if I wanted it nor informed of the add on. AT&T’s customer service has never been anything less than spectacular so I am surprised by this. The 800 number customer service were able to refund one month but it seems they cannot refund the charges for July. I expected the higher bill so I didn’t notice these charges until August but it still is unfortunate that the salesman at the store added charges I did not request. I used to pay for insurance but never used it so it was a waste of money for me and I stopped with it altogether. I find it rude for the associate to assume what I wanted rather than asking me. If I was asked, I would have declined with no problem. Just be very aware of each month’s bill especially following an upgrade or changes made to your account so you don’t have the same problem I had.

Your Honor, I am wanting to make sure that I include a review of this store due to what could have potentially occurred and to ensure all of you pay close attention going forward. What could have happened you ask? well what could have happened is that I got $1,040 for a phone trade in. How could that have been a bad thing? Allow me to explain for the court:
I went in to upgrade my phone due to my Pixel 4 starting to finally show it's age. I was offered a Google watch 2 and informed the employees that I had a new fitbit and wanted to use that until it gave out so I was not shopping for a watch. They pushed it again as any salesman would and I gave them the negative again. I assumed that was that.
While they looked into my phone upgrade options they advised me that my phone could be worth $1,040. Naturally this surprised me as just the day before I checked with ATT's website and my phone was valued at $35. I asked them if I could go online to review this information and instead of offering to show me they directed me to the website. Alas this was not meant to be as they didn't have the phone I wanted. That was not their fault they were sold out.
I went home then to do the upgrade online and figured I would now take a deeper look into this offer, Surely getting over 1k for my phone is worth it right?
OBJECTION! I did find the promotion they were referring to, it specified "Your phone is valued at $1,040 with eligible trade in and purchase of Google Watch 2 and activation of a smart watch line."
Needless to say I was shocked at the matter, I was completely frazzled at the thought that these ATT retail employees would tell me to my face that my 4th generation Google PIxel is valued at $1,040.
Not only that but after repeatedly stating that I was not shopping for a watch, they would add a smart watch line without my knowledge in order to both complete a sale and satisfy my want for a "free" phone.
You may strike the previous comment from the record as that is purely conjecture and cannot be proven in this "court". However I will leave you with this, I have previously worked in ATT Quality Assurance for five years at a call center and it is a common tactic for official stores and authorized retailers to "Withhold" specific details of deals and offers to new and old customers alike. If my previous supervisor were to see this they can provide additional information on the numbers but I would say roughly 45% of all calls we handled were due to these underhanded tactics and is one reason I have no intention of going back to an ATT store. I may have to wait for my phone but at least then I know what I'm getting into and would only have myself to blame.
Additionally the 1 star is not due to the fact I can't go to 0 but is instead due to the parking spots available to me when I arrived and the fact the AC was working. Thank you and I rest my case your honor.

Josh was an amazing salesman. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He kept things fully transparent with us as we were switching from Verizon (after 15 years) over to AT&T. And without him being as helpful as he was, I'm not sure we would have made the switch. He went above and beyond, making sure we were well educated in what deals we could get, what the future bill would look like, etc. Great overall experience with him, the company, and the other coworkers in the store. P.s. the chairs in there are soooo uncomfortable. Haha! ?

My old phone broke and Matt was able to set me up with a new plan through first net because I'm a Medical Profesional, so I got a new phone and a cheaper plan than what I had been paying.
