Best meats in the city. Don’t sleep on the cheddar metts and the homemade brisket. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, especially treating my kids like celebrities.

Pleaseeee someone find out Eberts chicken salad recipe!!! I couldn’t eat the chicken salad here, way toooo much mayo. I miss Eberts so much! Filets were good, but $70 for 3?! I didn’t think they were any different than Krogers butcher counter filets, and they’re half the price!

We are from Texas and we’re in town visiting. I called in an order for a specific cut on some beef short ribs for a Korean style BBQ dinner. I looked up butchers in Cincinnati and saw a link to Avril & Bleh. When placing my order they asked all the right questions about what I wanted and how I wanted it. We opened the meat when we got home and it was perfectly cut to our request. After cooking the meat it was tender and delicious and I couldn’t ask for a better experience from the butchers. Great job guys and when we come back into town, we know where to go.

I used to go to Ebert's in Newport on occasion for local butchered cuts of beef for steak dinners. I was excited to see about getting a few cuts for a Valentines dinner for me and my GF. With Eberts gone I looked for an alternative and found one.The New York Strip and Filet I purchased from your store was top shelf. We ate every bite and it was worth every dollar spent.The best part is that I didn’t have to pay at an overpriced restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The cuts of beef were better quality than most other steakhouses in town.I will be a repeat customer and cannot wait to try other cuts. If you are a home chef and like to do things on your own go to Avril-Bleh Butchers.Thank you for your craftsmanship.

Great place and easy to get to with readily available parking. They’re one of the last meat stores that cut shadow steaks in the area. They are now cutting shadow steaks the same way Ebert’s Meats did in Newport, Ky did for 80 years. They just recently hired on of the former butchers at Ebert’s. They also have twice baked potatoes that Ebert’s also made. I’m very excited to say the least. My birthday dinner tradition of eating Ebert’s shadow steaks lives on. Highly recommend Avril & Bleh even though I have no clue how to properly pronounce their name :)
