I take all my dogs here and honestly the OWP plan is only worth it if they’re a puppy. I pay hundreds of dollars every time I take my 3 yr old here. I don’t get the benefit of the plan if I’m constantly spending money for basic needs. Dr. Thompson is a great vet but the money is not worth it in the slightest. I have had no problems with any staff until I had to take my dog in for vomiting right after my other dog had passed away. Had to pay so much for this visit and when I asked why bc I pay the plan. The staff person who I think was named Allison (blonde) was so rude and kept asking me what I meant instead of answering my basic questions. Left with no answers and annoyed. Another time I had to pick up my dog, Allison was there and again had an attitude and was completely no help. Will be canceling solely based on my interactions with her.

I called to have my dogs records emailed to Noah's Ark and Allison was so incredibly rude over the phone. Kept interrupting me and telling me to listen. Thank goodness my dogs no longer go to banfield and I don't need to call anymore. Management should listen to the recording of the call with how she speaks to clients.

Thankfully, I am not a client of this vet. Sadly, my dog had a seizure while being groomed at PetSmart next door to Banfield. I received a call from my groomer notifying me that my dog had a seizure and that they had taken her to Banfield to be looked at. Upon arrival, I interacted with Allison who told me the vet had not yet had a chance to see my dog. I understood and asked if I could see my dog and she did bring me the dog. However, when I then asked about the vet, Allison said that I had declined care because I had taken my dog - that was never communicated to her from me - I simply wanted to see my dog and her condition. Upon explaining this, I was met with a patronizing smile and condescending interaction and told they wouldn't see my dog. While I can't hold this against the entire clinic, this individual, as an employee, did not have my pet's best interest in mind and it pains me to see people like this working in this industry.

I am so happy with Hyde Park Banfield staff especially Dr.Justin Suchomel and Renee the check in receptionist. They both were very patient and wanted to answer any questions dealing with my senior dog who is 15 years old. He gets anxiety whenever going to the doctor but they ease his mind as well as mine. They don't make you feel rushed and will even help with check in if your running late. I truly appreciate y'all.?

My experience at Banfield was horrible. They did blood work and said everything looked fine. But when I brought my cat back to get spayed they said they couldn’t cause her liver function. So they didn’t till almost a month after the blood work about her liver function. Also they don’t keep spays over night which is horrible in my opinion because spaying is the same as hysterectomy. I took my cat to UCAN (a non-profit organization) and they spayed her with no problem and she’s still alive and they kept her overnight.

Dr Thompson, Dr. Suchomel, and Dr. Orso have all taken great care of my greyhound and two cats! They always take the time to discuss my pets care in depth with me. I highly recommend bringing your pets here!

Y'all told me to DM I did. Tried to call. Anytime I call the line to cancel I get put on hold and never get called back. If I do get called back can't even understand what they're saying. Also tried to call you guys didn't answer. I was lied to and taken advantage of once again by you guys. First time you said something was wrong with my cat's liver function took her somewhere else they said otherwise and they spayed and she woke up. Now this b******* i'm over it yall will never get another dollar from me again. Also how is a liver function elevated but the lab results say below normal

I would avoid Banfield in Hyde Park due to their lack of care for animals, respect for clients and unwillingness to take ownership for their actions.

I used to love our vet experience. My dogs went regularly for 6 or so years. I'm told it's due to short staff, but when I called the past 2 years, I was constantly put on hold or got voice-mail. I understood drop off appointments for bigger issues or even during Covid, but then it became the normal and they wouldnt do a regular appointment in one of the rooms. Kept paying for the Banfield plan because overall seemed worth it. Then one of my dogs who is medcated for anxiety had a horrible vet experience waiting 30 minutes to get checked in with all the extra stimulation of other animals crossing his path. Hours later, when the vet could finally see him, his medication wore off, and they called us to come help. We, of course, had no problem with that, but my poor dog was traumatized and took weeks to get back to normal. I called to cancel the Banfield plan and was told it was, then I got a notice that I was past due. I called the 800 number, got a guy who sounded like a party was happening, and told me he would send me to collections if my payment didn't become current. When I asked to speak to a manager, he told me there was none, and one would call me back. I then called the Oakley location looking for any support possible. The woman I spoke with explained she was new, and the office manager would call me back the next day. It's now been a week, no call back, I've called twice with no answer.Until they can get more staff and go back to the pre covid protocols, at a minimum, I would not trust my fur babies with them again.
