I highly suggest not using block advisors of any kind. I am a trans person who is self employed and as such, I prefer to use a tax advisor to file. I have been using Block Advisors for the last three years and have come to find that I turned in my taxes 3 times with these people, only for it to have not been filed the last two years. Even though my tax specialist, Carol, assured me they have been filed. The IRS website says otherwise. The receptionist has been nothing but curt with me and I've been met with absolute disrespect and frankly, discrimination. After the headache of trying to communicate with these people, I've come to find out that they no longer have any of the files I gave them to rectify this situation and they refuse to communicate with me over the phone or by email. When I went to a different location for help, the woman who helped me was then unable to help me due to health conditions and two weeks later, referred me to a different tax advisor. If two tax advisors can't help me...why would I go to a third at your firm when you're the ones who have made this mess in the first place?

Melanie Elkin was by far the least professional while handling my hr block case. She couldn’t even upload my documents to hrblocks website. I had to physically drive to her office to pick up the paperwork to hand to my attorney. I made less than 10k due to the pandemic and she wrote on my return that I made 42k. I’m in the middle of a bankruptcy and have my lawyer trying to figure out what to tell the trustee. To this date ms Elkin has still failed to upload my tax return documents to their website. She had to remove two pieces of paper she hd wrongfully labeled as 1040. I tried calling corporate and no one was able or willing to help me get my return and it’s now September. I will never trust this business with my taxes again.

I normally go through LLC bookkeeping and the guy always charges me $80. I thought I'd try someone closer so i called and talked to a rob on the phone and he said they usually charge $150 but for a single individual claiming one just 1 it would be $75. Just got off the phone with a carol and they are charging me $250 now. Way more than what they said in the phone and apparantly its because they filled out my one sheet of city taxes. The ladies at the city of blue ash tax office would of done it for me there for nothing. Will not be doing business here again
