I purchased a car here back in December of 2024 with the help of sales associate, Jason Matthews. Jason was extremely helpful and honest throughout the whole process. February of 2025, I started having some minor issues with the car stalling. I called the service department and was matched with Aston Gerber. Aston made this process so smooth and seamless. He would not release my car back to me until the technicians found something. When they could not, he insisted they take it to the Hyundai dealership to see if they found anything. He was very persistent and ensured they found and repaired the issues I was seeing before returning my car even if the issues weren’t visible. I appreciate him understanding and advocating for me and also not giving up when the problem didn’t immediately arise. I highly recommend working with this CarMaxx location and if I need a new car in the future, I will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Aston and Jason!

Received a quote online. Made an appt. Arrived an hour early. They appraised the car right away. Under 20 minutes. Offered me the original quote amount. I was literally in and out the door with a check within an hour. Surprisingly a very smooth easy transaction.

I would not recommend buying a car from this Carmax. Last year in May I bought a 2015 Honda CR-V from them that had 122,000 miles on it. 4 months later a tire belt blew out and they wouldn't cover it because it was outside their three month period. I said ok and moved on. Now after putting just 13k miles on the car, I am finding out that the Timing Tensioner Chain is broken and leaking oil, both electronic door handles have a parasitic draw draining the battery, the head gasket is leaking oil, and the rear left tire has blown its belt. In total it's going to cost over $6,000 dollars to fix. I called them and talked to the service store manager who said that it's around the mileage when those break. I asked that they cover at least the timing tensioner chain, which is $2,800 to repair, because if it was going to break, they should have seen the wear and tear on it before they sold it to me. He told me there is nothing he will do, and just gave me the regional number. I was straight up sold a lemon of a car for $20,000 and just shown the door. I will never shop at this Carmax again. If you do buy from this Carmax, I recommend immediately taking it to a mechanic you trust and have them run a full diagnostic on the car so you don't get scammed like I did.
Edit: I called the number that Carmax asked me to below and filed an official review with the corporate team. They came back and said the exact same thing. If I could give them lower than a one star I would. I would not recommend shopping with Carmax EVER, as the likelihood of you buying a car and it breaking down a year later, is far greater than buying it at an actual dealership.

I started my car buying experience online with Carmax. I did a prequalified application so I knew what my buying power was and what down payment I would need. The car I wanted was in another city and Carmax shipped it to my nearest location free of charge with no obligation to buy if I didn’t like it. I had a salesman Jake reach out by phone first. I was away on business and could only text and he answered all my questions, helped me get everything I needed to send in done, and got everything processed for an express pickup. On the day of pickup they emailed me the contract on my way to the dealership. I looked it over, agreed to all terms, and signed on my phone. At the store I just had a few forms to sign, pay my down payment, and take for a test drive. I love my new Subaru forester. The whole experience at Carmax def has earned my business and anyone I know. They made it so simple and if you don’t see the car you want at their dealership they will find it and ship it to the store. Some cats do have a small transfer fee but mine was the next closest Carmax so no fee was added. Thank you Jake for not being pushy and letting me do things on my speed. I will def come see you again when I need a new one.

I am interested in a slightly used Cadillac in white or some muted color but NOT BLACK. Low millage. Interior light! No smoked windows.
