We researched many places to store our valuables during our move. We found that the Citadel was the cleanest and most professional of them all. John (pleasant ridge) was super helpful and friendly. The storage area is clean and we would recommend this place to friends.

Had a wonderful experience at the Ridge Ave location. Xavier was incredibly helpful, communicative, knowledgeable and accommodating. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

Great customer service. Very nice. Clean facility. Had a size in mind but they were able to let me look at a few different size units to help me find the right one. Very detailed on pricing and how their policies are. I recommend citadel on ridge.
Very friendly nice and helpful. They also rent out u-haul trailers, vans, and trucks. Check em out.

I was ready to leave 5 stars, but this past experience changed my mind. It’s clear they don’t prioritize their customers.
I was moving my things over the weekend and ran into a big problem after hours. The gate entrance was covered in a thick sheet of ice and my U-Haul got stuck. A 20-minute trip turned into 2 hours. I tried using the call button for help, no answer. I called the main number but it was just an automated line. With no one to help, I had to call the police. They used salt, rocks, and even pushed the truck to get me out. I hate that I had to call them for that, taking away from other emergencies in the area. If I’d tried to do it myself, the truck would’ve slid and flipped into a 10-foot ditch. On top of that, I blocked the gate code pad so other customers had to get out and walk on the ice to use it.
When I finally got unstuck and made it to the storage unit, the last dolly was already taken. I had to unload everything by hand, which made the whole process even longer and more stressful. If the ice hadn’t delayed me, I would’ve been in and out like usual.
This could’ve all been avoided if someone had salted the area regularly. And for after-hours situations, there needs to be someone available to help. Completely disappointed with my experience with Citadel storage and it hasn't even been a month. Hopefully, they take this seriously and make some changes.

I did a lot of research when choosing what storage facility to use and I dont regret my decision at all. By far the best storage facility! The price is amazing in comparison to other companies for a better quality unit (ie inside, temperature control unit). The staff is so helpful too.

The staff at Citadel Self Storage is impressive. After I told him the things I needed to store, he showed me a smaller storage unit than what I was looking at. At first, I was hesitant, as I thought my things wouldn't fit, but after moving in, everything fit, and I had additional space to store more items. They offer 24/7 access, which allows me to store things whenever I need to. I only pay about $20 a month for a 2.5x5, and they offer a Military discount of about 5%.

They cancelled a uhaul reservation I had for almost two months 1 day before my move. Super unprofessional! Never again!

Be cautions when you rent a truck here from U-Haul. Wait until they give you a receipt because they will add erroneous charges. When I called to dispute the refueling fee of $30, he said; it was a hair under 3/4. ??
