I just wanted to give a shout out to your Eastgate location… and to your manager, Ashley, in particular. My husband and I have two adjoining units at the Eastgate location and in doing her routine security checks, Ashley discovered that one of our two locks was not secure. It was actually locked in the open position… meaning that anyone with access to that floor could have gotten into one (or both) of our storage units. Ashley alerted us immediately and worked with us to get the problem resolved in a very timely manner. This was no small task given that we live more than 500 miles away! We always have appreciated the security measures taken by Public Storage to keep our belongings safe and secure, and I must say, their customer service is truly exemplary!

Everything was great until the move out process. We submitted a date via the app and had our stuff out 1 day early. The unit was cleaned and the locked removed. I called the site manager several times without response. I then started receiving frequent auto emails and texts about payment for the next month. I called the site again today with no response. I sat on hold for an extended period today and was told my case showed the lock was still on and it most definitely was not. I was advised they would look into my case and follow up in 24-hours. Again everything else but the move out was fine. Claiming the lock is still on there when it most definitely was removed and then expecting more money is not ok.
I’ve just now read all the other reviews having issues moving out. Shame on me for not reading earlier. I would not rent from this location.

My storage experience was fine. My stuff wasn’t stolen and I didn’t have any terrible issues with the space itself, a few bugs but nothing insane. The service on the other hand is terrible. My rent was raised to almost $200 from about $125 within a couple of months of me having my stuff there, and on top of that you can’t access it past 9pm…. I’m sorry but paying $200 to keep your stuff and you can’t access it half the time is crazy. The move out process has been terrible. They are trying to charge me for a months rent when I moved out and selected that I was moving out in the app. I then had somebody call me about my past due balance, for a month that I am not there and should not be paying, and I explained the situation and she said she can’t access my payments so she can’t do anything about it. Why are you calling me about payments if you can’t access my payments??? Then I have tried to call and use the automated text systems and can’t get ahold of anybody to help me. I would not recommend this space to anybody. My unit was probably an 8x15 instead of a 10x17, the bathroom was out of order for about 4 months and when it did work there was dirty diapers, trash, human waste and other crap all over the place. All of that aside, the simple task of moving things in and out is terrible. You have to enter a code get in the door and the elevator and if you don’t get in the elevator within about 5 seconds it resets and you have to enter the code again. I know it’s supposed to be a safety feature, but it’s not that safe if you can still just pull the doors open anyways…. I would love to be able to talk to somebody to try and get all of this resolved but I can’t even get ahold of somebody

The storage facility is clean and easy and safe to access. Only gave 4 stars because bathroom has been out of service for more than a week.

Do not recommend to anyone.
Price gouging is out of control. $351.00 a month for a 10x15 unit.
No on site person. No help.
Bathroom is discussing.
I've been slowly cleaning out the storage unit, for the past 3 weeks.
There is no tishew paper in the restroom and hasn't been. I had tishew and ended up leaving 2 packs.
Toilet bowl is discussing,
Trash on the floor. For 3 weeks.
The hallway hasn't been swept, very dusty.the elevator is broken. We got stuck on it twice or it didn't work at all. Again no person to help. check out the photos I have posted below.
I do not recommend to anyone.????????

I rented a unit less than a year ago. They have increased my rent three times so I moved out. They then said I own another month and I wasn't even there. PUBLIC STORAGE says now they are going to take legal action. I highly suggest not doing business with this outfit.

The storage unit itself is fine. It’s the price gauging that really sinks Public Storage. My 10x15 indoor unit went from around $180/ month to $365/ month in about two years. Meanwhile, the facility removed an in-person staff member and replaced her with a touch screen. When contacting customer service, they were unhelpful and clearly operating from a script designed to deflect from any honest conversation regarding lowering your rate. In other words, they cut costs and services and doubled my rent. In just 2 years.
I would recommend checking out other storage facilities in the area; there are plenty within a few mile radius, and you can often find more competitive rates and more helpful customer service.

If I could give no stars, I would. This place is seriously lacking in customer service. I realize it is a self-service business with no staff on site. However, they shouldn't say arrangements can be made to meet a staff member on-site. I tried for a week to set this up. The first time they didn't show up and after repeated requests over the phone to have someone call me, no one ever did. Five days ago I was promised that the district manager would call within 24 hours. In addition, the promotional rate I was given disappeared. The email confirmation showed the rate, but when I clicked to go forward with the reservation it showed the normal rate. Calls about that were a waste of time, too.

The facility is very nice. I like that it is temperature controlled. They also seem to have a bit more security than if you went to a storage place that kept your stuff outside. Every once in awhile, navigating the security doors and elevator can be a little frustrating. But we got through it. When I first got this storage unit, the rate was a little over $100 a month for a decent size unit. Now we are well over $200 a month. I think they realize your stuff is stuck and it's tough to do anything about it. So just beware that the attractive price you get in the beginning will be gone soon.
