I haven’t used them but am giving a 5 star review because they will not force vaccinations onto your dog if you object.

My family cannot thank the staff of Monfort Heights Animal Clinic enough for the high quality of care and compassion they demonstrated towards our miniature schnauzer when she was suffering from kidney failure. She stayed overnight for three nights receiving round the clock attention in order to try and save her. It was an absolutely awful experience to have to decide to put her to sleep but Doc McBride and the vet technicians (Dora chief among them) treated us with respect and empathy. I'll never forget after she was gone and they had to remove the IV, they still gently wrapped her little leg in red gauze. That kind of attention to detail mattered so much at one of our lowest and most heart wrenching moments. Thank you Monfort Heights Animal Clinic! They have earned our business and trust for many years to come with future dogs.

We have taken three different dogs to monfort Heights animal clinic since we moved to Monfort Heights eight years and I will never go back there again. This was my first experience dealing with Dr. McBride Sr and, while his demeanor left much to be desired, I could have forgiven the fact that he charged me over double what he quoted me for my dog’s surgery, and I could’ve overlooked the poor postoperative instructions (no bandage, no cone, five sutures came out within the first few hours) and lack of general care and poor communication but I CANNOT forgive the fact that my dog is RIGHT NOW at an emergency surgeon and Dr. McBride REFUSES to release his notes and paperwork regarding my dog surgery to the treating emergency vet. When the emergency vet called Monfort Heights Animal Clinic and asked for his surgical records, they sent instead a copy of my invoice and his preop (bloodwork/chest x-ray). When I called MHAC to ask for the records, I was told they ‘do not have notes or records from the surgery’. The Emergency vet said the fact McBride won’t release the records is ‘highly suspicious’. So not only did my old dog have to endure a most likely poorly performed surgery, he will have to undergo sedation again to have the incision repaired and wound bandaged properly. I feel like I have been taken advantage of by this practice and would encourage any animal lover to NOT bring their pets to Dr. McBride Sr at Monfort Heights Animal Clinic.

1976 -- my Kodachrome memories are swathed in the red, white, and blue bunting of the nation's bicentennial, red pennants in honor of the Big Red Machine, and the gray and white of my first shaggy dog, Daisy, light of my life, center of my universe for the duration of hers. 1976 -- That was the year my family began its relationship with Dr. McBride at the Montfort Heights Animal Clinic. I did not outgrow my obsession with the shaggy dog. In the 90s there was Zoë, plain Zo in the morning, and now -- 2019 -- there is Mimi, Martha on the dotted line. Nor did I outgrow the trust that I place in Dr. McBride and now his son, Dr. McBride, a D.V.M., just like his dad -- knowledgeable, personable, kind, too -- from the first joyous appointment to vaccinate and de-worm the fluff-ball to that inevitable last one..
