Good selection. Friendly people. However, the prices were NOT good. Most shoes are priced about 20-30% more than you can find them online or in other stores. Buyer beware. Shop around.

The world's gone mad. Everything is sandal, ballet flat, strappy open toed high skinny stiletto heel, pointy high heels with a super skinny or oddly shaped clunky heel, gym shoe, or vans. There is no arch support in anything except for a select few sneakers. I guess shoes are all about pain now. Every shoe is the same except for the brand. No superior cute shoes any more. I was looking for fall and winter shoes because, you know, it's almost fall. 8 different ugly dress shoes with the same problems mentioned above to choose from for my 10 y/o girl. I couldn't be more disappointed. Do better DSW! Some people still like comfortable high-end shoes. Ones made to last. We each found one pair of shoes when prepared to buy at least 4. Won't be back for a very long time. Keep up with the coming seasons. Sandals should be clearance right now! Kids are back in school.

I worked here 10 years ago when this was owned by DSW INC and aimed to be America's favorite place to work. It was my favorite job by far. My team was amazing back in 2013! I have been here periodically since the buy out by designer brands and have noticed that employees are not cheerful. They do not greet or engage with customers. I have been to the register about 3 times recently and the cashiers have not smiled and some don't even make eye contact. I am lucky if I receive any positive words at all. On the last occurrence, I asked to have a price check and to also check for coupons and was told there were none, but upon checking the website at home, now I realize that the associate neglected to inform me about an additional 25% off sale for VIPs.
I fear this store is on the way out. They have removed almost all mens inventory and added children's shoes. I have never seen parents with children in the store shopping. Also, there was a boarded up window in the front of the building which didn't look welcoming.
This was previously a great place to work and shop and I believe this can be changed with proper management techniques. So if anyone at designer brands is reading this, please take note. Happy employees make happy customers. I would do an investigation on this store because they are clearly under-performing.

Prices are no longer competitive. Used to have better deals. Now the so-called "deals" are also restricted. Better to look at other stores.

Wide selection, clean, well lit and NOT crowded! It is a bit awkward and inconvenient that you have to take your selections all the way to the back of the store to try them on. Hopefully, more seating becomes available as this is a detourrent!
