Shadiest bank on the face of the planet. They'll lie, cheat, and steal from you while they smile in your face. Avoid this bank at all costs.

Dividend now a Division of Fifth Third Bank.made advanced payments to the contractor (Vision Solar) before work was complete. They forged signatures, used fake email addresses, also was on the phone with the VS salesperson during the sales pitch making tax incentive promises and insisting that I be on the loan versus my husband who makes more money, has better credit and less debt! Asking consumers to "sign" to get preapproved and to confirm their property is indeed qualified for solar panels when IN FACT consumers were signing a LOAN CONTRACT!! I did not even see a loan contract until it was emailed to me TWO MONTHS later after signing up for panels. They still have not provided me with requested documents.Dividend has also placed a lien on my home without notifying me, which I discovered on my own via my county clerk website. They are in violation of the Florida lien law by not providing me with a copy.when filing a UCC Financing Statement that has been recorded, a copy must be sent via registered mail (return-receipt requested) to properly notify the owner. Apparently, these steps were not followed. But that is not surprising given the way Dividend has handled everything so far. When I discovered the lien, I also discovered a notarized document from January 19th, 2023, with my signature forged on there.I never signed nor was in the presence of the named Notary ever.Forgery on notarized documents is a Third degree felony.Florida law prohibits a notary from notarizing any signature if the signer is not present at the time of the notarization.Hundreds of consumers are now stuck with non-working panels that were never activated and installed illegally without permits or inspections and homeowners facing fines because of this illegal install.Dividend approved documents, receipts, and photos from Vision Solar when work was INCOMPLETE!!Dividend hired third-party contractors to fix what Vision Solar did not.The third-party contractors, Florida power management, have informed me in writing that they are not authorized by Dividend to replace or repair anything. only to get up and running what Vision Solar left behind.Numerous Vision Solar employees have come forward to say the panels, inverters, and brackets etc are defective. So what's the point of hiring a third-party solar contractor if you're not allowing them to make repairs. The panels caused structural damage to my roof that was new before panels were installed. My requests, complaints and emails to both Dividend and Fifth Third Bank continue to go unanswered.

You CAN NOT cancel a check of any kind at 5/3 Bank. They will cash the check even if it fraud; you have to work on getting the money back later, after it is cashed. It appears by reading other reviews you can't stop automatic withdrawals once their started either.UPS lost a cashiers check and the Bank would not stop the check and issue another for 60 days. This Unprecedented! No other bank does this. I called my CU and told them I lost cashiers check and they began the paper work immediately. Had to tell them a was just testing them.If you want to escalate your problem, your referred to their customer support # where get an individual that CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH well enough to understand. It is impossible to talk to a bank financial representative or make an appointment with anyone with real power at the bank.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!! I never leave reviews but this bank absolutely sucks! Stay far away from them. I would rather starve than ever give them my business again.I used them for a car loan on a new vehicle and it has been trouble from the start. Simple, basic tasks in the app or online like trying to make a payment, always ends up with an "error message, call customer support." Every time I have called with an issue (politely), I have gotten the run around and told to try various different things that do not end up solving the error problem that is being generated from their own system. Finally spoke to someone today and when I expressed that I have encountered nothing but problems since using their bank, the guy (JOE) on the other end proceeded to catch an attitude with me and act like it was all my fault and I was not doing something right. I am young and extremely tech-savvy. I have been handling an iPad since I was 3 years old... But I guess it is just easier for them to blame customers instead of trying to take accountability for the faults in their system. I ended up speaking to an account supervisor today, and she was helpful, but when she transferred me to put in my information, the phone hung up. So, again, I am back at square one and out of patience to call back today.

I have NEVER been so disappointed in a Mortgage Company!!! I did not choose them my mortgage was sold to them. Their on-line payment sections SUCKS!!!! This is 2023, who doesn't have an option for paying additional to your escrow, what that heck kind of bank is this. I called their mortgage company for help. They won't take a payment over the phone for my extra escrow amount, I need to choose 'other' pay my regular payment PLUS what I want to go to escrow in ONE place (with NO WAY to say what amount it is to go to escrow) and call them (OMG that is the stupidest thing I ever hear of, call spend 10 minutes on the phone pushing buttons to get to the right person). Hey 53rd, you need to get into the current centrury with your on-line options for YOUR customers!!! YOU SUCK BIG TIME, the fact that NO ONE can help me when I call is rediculous. Can't wait to pay you off

Fifth Third Bank sent me a mailer announcing a very attractive offer for new customers who open a checking account. The offer stated was:1. Open a new account by November 13, 2023. I did this.2. Direct Deposit $3,000 within 90 days of opening. I did this.3. Fifth Third Bank will pay you $450. They refused to do this. When I called the local bank branch, I was told by the Branch Manager that the Direct Deposit had to come from a paycheck. I told him that the offer only said Direct Deposit and that is what I did by moving funds from my saving account to the new checking account. He told me that this was an ACH deposit and not a Direct Deposit. We argued about the terminology and the false advertising they used to draw me in. He basically told me to have a nice day and hung up.According to financial and business experts "Direct Deposit is the direct electronic transfer of funds from one bank account to another without using traditional physical methods. Here, the payment leaves the payer's account and reaches the payee's account directly in just a few clicks through a safe and secure digital platform, ensuring an instant transactional exchange".As you can see, there is no mention of any paycheck being any integral part of a Direct Deposit. As mentioned above, I followed Fifth Third Bank's rules exactly. The problem is that they wanted a deposit from an employer rather than the Direct Deposit the offer states in their promo mailing. I'm sure they thought this would be one way to attract employers and business owners to their bank by using the back door of a fictitious checking account offer to one of their employees.Other than wasting a lot of my time getting me to open a new account, and then having to close it because they stiffed me out of $450 due to their malfeasance, my only recourse to any satisfaction is to spread the word wherever I can. Fifth Third Bank not only has a goofy name, but they cannot be trusted. Stay away from them and use another bank - Fifth Third Bank is a scam artist.

This bank is god awful. Fifth Third is unprofessional and do not deserve to be in the banking industry. If i could leave zero stars I would. It's not this specific location either, but Fifth Third in its entirety. I work overseas, and they have blocked my card numerous times for "fradulent" or "suspicious activity" when I have told them in advance that I would be working abroad. And each time I talk to their customer service reps, I have told them that I am abroad from the U.S. And each time they act surprised like they didn't already have that information on hand. They are completely unprofessional and aloof. Plus, they have shadow blocked my account for any activity they see suspicious, meaning I can't login into my account online and even verify my info because the system acts like I don't have an account with them to begin with. They don't notify you either with a text, phone call or email when this happens. So as you can imagine, I'm in a foreign country with no way to pay for my basic needs because Fifth Third decided to block me on their own decision for no apparent reason. And there is no way to unblock my card or verify that it's me because they do not send you a notification for a purchase verification like other banks. I have to call them to unblock my account, but the catch is is that their international customer support is based in the U.S and is not 24/7. So if you're abroad in a different time zone when most people in the U.S are asleep and need your card unblocked, you are SOL.Fifth Third is a POS bank, and I can't wait to switch to a different bank because of how poorly they treat their customers.

Horrible bank. I received a settlement check and went here because the check was from here. The person had an account with well over the amount the check was for and they would not cash the check. They tried to make me open an account. Even after I had the account holder come to the bank they still tried not to give us the money. Took weeks to get it settled. If you can help it DONOT bank here. I’m not sure how they have been around this long they are a Horrible Bank!!!!! Oh yeah and they Never Ever answer the phone so if you’ve been calling this location just stop wasting your time.

Move to heritage bank if you have near you. They screwed my mother's account up and didn't 'realize' she had another 401k before she passed. Now we're dealing with probate. That's after multiple visits. Not just one. They also changed all of their service charges. You now need to keep 100k as a monthly balance! No thanks. HERITAGE is a small bank, but they know what appreciation of their customers is. Better rates for savings and money market and you don't need to worry that they'll screw anything up.

This company purchased my mortgage from Citywide. Its been nothing but harassment since. I get paid on the 5th of the month and always make my payment when I have verified my deposit has been made from my employer. They start calling on day 2 about the payment being late. Nevermind that I have a 15 day grace period. I have explained to them month after month that I pay my payment on the 5th and to not call me to no avail. Now my homeowners insurance is 7 weeks past due and they are telling me my Insurance is not part of my Escrow. In 25 yrs I have never had my insurance not be paid by my escrow nor would I ever sign a mortgage document where it is not part of my Escrow. To top it off I had to provide them with a copy of my Insurance premium so they can take a look at it in 10 days or so. By then my Insurance will likely be canceled and need to go through underwriting to get reinstated. What a nightmare this company has turned out to be.Worst Bank Ever

Terrible company. DO NOT get a car loan with these guys. After doing an "upgrade" the payment method we have been using the last year stopped working. Without any notice, the payment did not go through. They charged us a late fee and blamed the bank we use to make the payment with. (Uh, the other bank didn't do an upgrade!) "Customer Service" agent was beyond apathetic. Ended up having to make an ACH payment over the phone. Well, guess what happened the next month?? Yep, Ditto!!!!! "Customer Service" agent was even more detached this time around. There's lot's of options for car loans out there, guys! Don't make the mistake of choosing this outfit.
