Closed right now for renovation, but you can stroll the grounds and read informative signs. Historical ground anyway.

My family enjoyed the tour of the Beached house. The staff is knowledgeable and my children enjoyed learning from and interacting with them. The house was under renovation work during our visit. I am excited to see the finished result. I highly recommend a visit to learn of Harriet Beecher Stowe, the Underground Railroad, and the old Lane Theological Seminary.

Guide brought house and Harriet Beecher Stowe and her family alive! Not to be missed for Uncle Tom’s Cabin and/or Stowe history fans. Worth the stop!

If you love history this is a must in Cincinnati! Our tour guide, Anne (my partner thinks it was Anna so ?) was so knowledgeable and pleasant! I wish we’d planned better and given ourselves more than an hour. I could have listened to her tell us stories all day. Thank you, Anne for sharing your knowledge with us! The house is under renovations, we’re going to be on the look out to come back when it’s restored. It was worth every penny of the $6.

The docent did a excellent job going over history and added value of other underground railroad sites in the greater Cincinnati area. I had already planned to revisit Rev rankins house and added Rev Parker house also in ripley ohio and as a added bonus also fd the marked sign on the Uncle Tom cabin story of Eliza crossing . My grandsons 13 and 8 loved the tour. The docent also explained that the house was a tavern in the 1940s and included in the The Green Book and explained that that was a book to signify a safe place. Really enjoined the tour.

This hour-ish tour is WELL worth $6. The house is under restoration so there’s not as much to see currently, but the amazing guide we had (a volunteer and the org’s board president) was so informative and passionate about the material. It’s easy to find with free parking and a small bookstore.

Everything inside is being renovated- nothing to see. Not worth the $6 to see boards and holes. She didn't live here long (maybe a couple years). It was her father's home that she only stayed in for a short period.Tour guide got off topic a lot.

If you love history, you'll really like this place! I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life but didn't know about the Harriet Beecher Stowe House. We visited on a Thursday so it wasn't busy. The tour guide was great. There is the "house history" - how / why it was built, owners, uses, etc - & the Harriet & her family history...Very interesting! They are renovating portions right now, but they've done a good job of letting you see as much as possible of the renovation work while staying safe. I learned a lot. Overall glad we went & would recommend a visit.

Take the guided tour to learn about Harriet Beecher Stowe's time in Cincinnati, even though it was only partly connected to this home. The museum upstairs is similarly a must-see to learn more about this famous and influential American family. Well worth your time!

I really enjoyed the tour. Even though it's still going through some construction it was still exciting to see the before. I'd definitely recommend to go now before everything changes so that if you go back you get to see the before and after. It's also really interesting to see how they're trying to figure out how it was before it was remodeled. I know I'll be going back

A piece of history right here. I don't know how many times I passed this house not knowing what it represented.
It is in the process of being restored and you see the work in progress.
Nice to see the progress on the restoration. Highly recommend the hard hat tour. You learn a lot about the restoration, and the guide is quite knowledgeable.
