Youngwon French, my piano teacher, is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but she also has a true passion for music and teaching. She has a way of making each lesson both challenging and fun, and she is always willing to go above and beyond to help me achieve my goals.She has a unique ability to understand my strengths and weaknesses and adjust her teaching methods accordingly, which has allowed me to improve in areas where I previously struggled. She also encourages me to explore different styles of music, which has helped me to expand my musical horizons and become a more well-rounded pianist.In addition to her technical expertise, my piano teacher is also a great listener and communicator. She is always able to answer my questions and provide feedback, and she has helped me develop a deep understanding of the music I am playing.Overall, my piano teacher is truly an inspiration and a valuable asset to anyone looking to improve their piano skills. I can't recommend her enough, and I am grateful for all that she has done for me.

My 9 year old daughter has been studying with Youngwon for 6 months now. We transitioned to Hyde Park Piano Studio after relocating to the area. Youngwon came highly recommended but my daughter, who had been learning to play the piano since 5, was ready to take a break from lessons. We agreed to try a couple of months with Youngwon before making a final decision. Since then my daughter has been engaged in the material and is extremely motivated by the progress she has made in a short period of time. She enjoys her sessions in the studio and puts in practice virtually without complaint (she is 9 after all!). Her technique is always improving and she is able to memorize increasingly complicated pieces of music. She has not once revisited the topic of taking a break from lessons, rather, she often speaks to what she hopes she will be able to play in the future. In fact, the ability to read music and the musicality she acquired through her piano lessons have given her the confidence and enthusiasm to now pursue learning to play the flute.

Youngwon is simply wonderful. She’s an accomplished pianist, composer and gifted teacher whose love for music is contagious. My two daughters started taking lessons with her just over 6 months ago, and they have already learned so much. She makes music exciting, and has an amazing way of explaining difficult musical concepts in a way they understand. She is positive, patient and nurturing. She teaches them to be dedicated and to persevere in their practice, all while having fun learning and making music. I am so grateful they have her as a teacher.

Trying to learn piano as an adult after never consistently playing an instrument earlier in life was a bit daunting, but Youngwon has helped me progress by leaps and bounds in just a few short months. She’s a fantastic teacher and has given me the consistent coaching and confidence I needed to stick with it and continuously improve. I can’t recommend her lessons highly enough for both adults and children.

Youngwon offers personalized private lessons that my daughters enjoy going to. Atmosphere is calm and extremely clean with two gorgeous grand pianos. She also has a beautiful voice and sings/hums the tunes while the kids play. FIVE STARS!!!

My daughter and I absolutely love Ms. French. We started at age 5.5, once a week, 30 minutes and she’s playing piano with songs memorized and doing recitals and I’m beyond impressed. She keeps the kids interested in their lessons and the desire to continue playing piano. I have a very irregular work schedule and she is always gracious in trying to make our weekly lessons work, including doing virtual lessons. Couldn’t recommend her more- 2 of my friends’ kids also go here! Can’t wait to get my second kid in lessons too!

Ms. French has been a great piano teacher for my daughter for over a year now. She has a knack for instructing kids and goes out of her way to make sure your child is learning at the right pace, working to improve and still enjoying playing the piano. A fabulous place to learn!

My 8-year old daughter has been taking lessons with Ms French for over a year now and she loves going to class:)Apart from being a passionate and skilled piano teacher, she is very perceptive about the personality of the kid and truly cares about teaching in a fun, yet disciplined manner.Her communication with the parents is great, she lets you know about areas of improvement and sends across videos of their special moments too.We feel incredibly lucky to have Ms French guiding our daughter's musical journey!

Youngwon is amazing! She has been wonderful with our kids from day one and we are in awe of how far they’ve already come in such a short amount of time. They really enjoy going to her home and enjoy practicing too! She is really wonderful with communication and sharing their progress. If you want hands on, special attention with your kids, she is the teacher for you!
