I have been going to Jackson Hewitt I think about 12 13 years now customer service is very accurate the appointments or on time and they work around your schedule and customer service is great my tax prepared she is great

Excellent, fast and thorough service! My preparer was Libby Ramsey and she was the absolute best! I've already recommended Jackson-Hewett to several people because of the service I got. She took the time to answer all of my questions and even made me aware of a previous tax issue that I've since had corrected. Will definitely return next tax season.

I will preface by saying our tax professional was very nice throughout, but I want to give an honest review of my experience. From my experience the lack of tax knowledge outside of "what the system" was telling our preparer was pretty astounding. I'm expecting answers for legitimate questions from my tax professional and not I don't knows and you should call the state of Ohio income tax division. I was told over the phone we owed an amount for state taxes and when we showed up the amount we were being told was 4X that amount, it was more than our Federal taxes. Granted we did owe interest but we explained that number was exorbitant and made no sense, she said she agreed but didn't know why and advised us to call ourselves to figure out why. I did and talked to the income tax division and they had no clue how she was arriving at that number. I was told we would owe roughly $80-$100 in interest and probably not even get a late filing fee. Jackson Hewitt was giving us a number that was $9k over our actual tax due which would've been a 400% interest rate. I ended up preparing my own state taxes bc we couldn't trust what was being told to us.On top of that issue, our federal return was rejected after signing off before leaving. We were told its bc the return had already been filed, which was incorrect. After searching records on IRS database and worrying about my identity being compromised, I called back to ask if the information she filed was correct. Come to find out the preparer listed my SS # wrong on the return and my 1st name was not spelled properly. Thankfully my wife and I caught that or we would've been lost without any answers.When it came to getting our proper return bc we were sent home with physical copies of our incorrect return, it took several hours and multiple phone calls to get Jackson Hewitt to be able to send a PDF via email. I kept being told to access my online account, which I couldn't bc my info was entered incorrectly and I was never given an access code. Then I was told I could drive back in to get a physical copy or they could fax it. I said why can't you email it and it took 2 more phone calls and calls to corporate before someone else emailed a pdf of our return.This place had 4.8 stars when I checked Google reviews but that was not all my experience. I normally wouldn't take this much time to write this kind of review but I want others to be aware of what they may be getting themselves into. My preparer was indeed very sweet, but the experience was anything but and I will never use a service like Jackson Hewitt again. I was in a bind, admittedly my fault, but this experience caused even more stress and work for myself. I wish I could say differently but this was a nightmare.Addendum: After all of this, I received a tax bill from the IRS after my taxes were filed stating I owed an additional $3200 in taxes. I followed up with their customer care department after they responded to my original post. I sought for a refund from my preparation bc nothing my "tax professional" did was correct and I had to do most of the work and it created more stress. I was told I needed talk to the regional branch located in Middletown for a refund. After stating everything above and provindin my letter to the IRS to Jill Timpe and her manager, David Fabian, responded saying what their "tax professional" did was correct and they would not be issuing a refund. Safe to say this company is an absolute joke and if you have them do your taxes, you are entrusting the wrong people. Horrendous experience and feel like they flat out stole $179 from me.

Very professional and quick service. The first time I did taxes in awhile and it was not bad at all. Miss Libby Rmasey is a very good tax consultant. I wish everywhere was like this.
