Poor customer service and the manager himself lacked communication skills and any form of kindness and respect that exists. First and last time coming, very disappointing.

For a new store, they’re really disappointing. Their stock is so low and it’s discouraging. I went for a specific crochet hook and they had nothing. The rows of shelves were bare. The hooks are empty. It’s not like they’re that busy. It’s just they have absolutely no stock

Could be great if there weren't so many empty shelves. I went looking for a basic sewing starter kit for my little girl, not wanting to buy it from Amazon, but there were none. Seriously, in a sewing store??? I also looked for sewing bobbins and there were only 2 types left (which were nearly gone), neither of which worked for my Singer machine. So I ended up ordering from Amazon.
Who is in charge of stocking this place? I feel sorry for the employees!

Online it shows this store opens at 8am, which is a complete lie. I arrived at the Hyde Park location around 8:20am and they were not open.!!!! After calling their phone number a clerk says the store opens at 9am. Really?!!! Fix the opening info online so folks don’t have to waste gas and their time. Gas is too expensive!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know why they even bothered moving to a bigger store, the old store was better IMO. At least it was taken better care of. I visited last summer right after they opened this location and was pleasantly surprised, thought it might be the ‘new’ best Joanns in the city! Visited again today and YIKES.. nevermind. Drove almost an HOUR! to get charms they supposedly had in stock.. and what do you know… not in stock. Corporate seriously needs to tighten up ship.. I’d rather they close 1/2 the stores in the area down and keep the other half open, fully stocked, and clean.. than leave them all open, never stocked, and dirty. Every month all the stores just get worse… I used to be an avid Joann’s shopper 3-4 years ago.. now I don’t even bother, and if I do I’m usually disappointed.

I bought 2 yarn and I had a coupon for a discount , the coupon didn’t work and the cashier didn’t know why, after she said that is only for regular price and this yarn was in discount. I paid and I went home . I entered in the Joann web Paige and was not true the price that I paid was the regular price.
I went many times and all the store is full of boxes in the middle of the way some of them with Halloween merchandise? In December?

Don’t even know where to start with this review! This store is a complete and total mess. Absolutely the worst Joann I have ever been in! The store manager was being rude to employees. I used to use the store right after the move. They seem to have a happy staff then from what I’ve heard the reason why people are quitting is Because of the store manager and the drama she Causes. Really wish some of the old staff were still here. The new staff seems to be very unhappy. I think corporate should investigate this store manager because obviously there is a problem.

The store is really hectic right now as they recently moved to a larger store and are trying to stock, move shelving, and take care of customers. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back to this store even though it is far from home!

Jaci and the other lady working with her Friday November 1st were amazing. They were clearly understaffed (shame on corporate) but were both so sweet and patient with me as I am not a crafty gal and came in with many questions! Jaci went above and beyond to find a box for me in the recycling I could use for my Halloween costume. She was encouraging and very animated, it was nice encountering such kind souls when I was very stressed about making a Halloween costume last minute after my partner had surgery that week. Picture of my costume for fun! Thank you Jaci and other kind lady.

n May of this year (2024), we hauled a shipment as the carrier for Sti Global Inc, picking up from Sam Pievac Company Inc in Bloomington, CA, and delivering to Joann Stores in Cincinnati, OH for an agreed amount of $3,000. Our service was excellent from start to finish, with smooth coordination at both pickup and delivery ends. However, it has now been 121 days since we submitted our invoice, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, Sti Global Inc has not paid us. For almost two months, they have ignored our calls and emails.
We have consulted a transportation lawyer and the collections company Baxter & Bailey. Both advised us to reach out to all the parties involved on the billing manifest to attempt to resolve this issue. If this effort is unsuccessful, we are prepared to move forward with legal action and collections against all parties associated with the shipment. Our commitment to resolving this situation is firm, as we have provided top-notch service and expect to be compensated for our work.

Horrible customer service. Drove all the way up to get Halloween beads that showed that they were in stock online. Couldn’t find them so asked an associate for assistance and she started screaming “I hate when people ask me if stuffs in stock! You need to call ahead next time” there won’t be a next time because I will not be returning to this location.

The new store in Hyde Park Square is amazing! The yarn section is incredibly big, with a wide variety of brands, weights, and materials. If I didn't already have a huge yarn stash at home, I could've easily accumulated more. But, as hard as it was to do, I did exercise self control. This time.
