Key bank puts long holds on checks. Locations and drive thru access are lacking. They won't credit your overdrafts caused by legitimate checks deposited that they put holds on to draw an overdraft. Huntinton bank has 24 hour Grace. I'd choose any bank over keybank. Avoid like it's the plague. Not even the free $200 is worth it. I'd bury my money in the back yard in a can before I trusted keybank with my money

I tried to deposit a large check to my savings account via the ATM part of my local branch since quarantine, the lobby is not open. First after depositing my card and check into the machine it said it would not be able to deposit and returned my check but not my card. When I called to see what happened to my card, they (tabitha) were incredibly unhelpful. They said because I tried to put it in my savings instead of checking that is why. Why even have that as an option to choose then??? They said I could try depositing when I get my new card (3-5 days). What if I had rent to pay??? Luckily I don’t need now, but incredibly poor service and cannot use mobile app bc the check is too large. Overall such poor service and frustrating situation.

As an account holder, I just received notification that Key Bank is eliminating Line of Credit and MasterCard credit cards effective July 20, 2018. I think this lousy method of doing business limiting account holder access to their credit cards and line of credit. I am closing my Line of Credit with Key Bank; ;plus they are closing a lot of branches. This bank should go out of business along with Sears. They don't seem to care about retaining customers.

I've been a customer with this bank for about 8 years. I was appalled when the branch manager at this location told me that if KeyBank cannot help me, then I should look into going with a different institution. Have you ever heard of a company tell a customer to take his or her business elsewhere, especially when you've been an excellent customer and all you wanted to do was open a checking account? So, all I wanted to do was to open a savings account, which I was able to do, but when I tried to transfer more money into my savings from my checking, I was told that they had to close my account. I guess a situation that occurred when I first open my account, in which I had resolved, caused a flag. I was told I was a "risk" for the company, and they are not able to open any more accounts for me. I was never made aware of this in the 8 years I've been a customer, nor when I was opening my savings account. When I spoke with the branch manager, Paula Fogelman, she insisted that I could not be helped. She repeatedly replied with "that's just our policy". "That's just the bank's policy". When I asked if I could speak with someone else or get a phone number for someone I could explain to, she said "There is no one else, I am the ultimate decision maker." *this is a direct quote from our phone call Furthermore, she would not let me explain or speak my part because she said it was no use. I have never been treated like this by a company, especially since I've had an excellent record pretty much since I've opened it. I only started having to deal with the Downtown Cincinnati branch recently since my job moved downtown. This is not an attack at KeyBank. I have not had any issues with the company. Only with Paula Fogelman and the Downtown Cincinnati branch.
