I have used this pharmacy for years for compounded medications for my pets. It has only been recently that I have had bad customer service experiences. Before they were wonderul!Their customer service now leaves alot to be desired. My first situation occurred a week and a half ago when Tristate called to ask me if I would like my two pets medications filled. I am at work and missed their call but called back within 6 minutes of the call because I saw it was them on the caller ID. When the pharmacist came to the phone, I said I noticed they had called and was calling back to see if it was for my pets' medication. She proceeded to lecture me about how she had left me a voicemail with the details. I checked my vm initially before calling them back, and there was no voicemail. I let her know I did not receive her voicemail, so if she could please let me know the information now on the call that would be great. She huffed and puffed and reiterated that she had left a voicemail with the details. Finally after she was finished being a "right fighter" she gave me the information that I needed, and I told them to yes please fill the medications.Well, here we are a week and a half later and I hadn't heard anything until today when they call and say I'm late on picking up the meds. I answer the phone kindly and the girl on the other line is like "this a friendly reminder that you have meds you need to pick up" in a harsh very rude tone. I told her no one called me so I was unaware and I would be there tonight to get them, and asked what time they close. She then proceeded to lecture me that they called on "such and such date and time and left a message". Again, "right fighting" must run in the family there. So I killed her with kindness and said I would be by tonight to pick them up.It's amazing to me that they value their customers so little that they think its okay to talk down to them and point out a time and date that they called (in a rude way) after the customer says they did not receive a message. If a customer is telling you they didn't receive your voicemail then they didn't! It's not about who was right or wrong, or who did or didn't do something. I obviously need the medication for my pets, hence the reason you are filling it. I would have no reason to ignore a call or message. You're providing a service that a customer is paying for. Start treating your customers with more kindness and professionalism!

I called with an urgent and slightly odd request. Lynn helped me out tremendously and went above and beyond any of the other supply companies/pharmacies I called. She saved the day and was super nice in the process. I highly recommend calling Kunkel!

If i could give this place more stars I would. The customer service is second to none. We had our son born prematurely and needed to rent a breast pump machine similar to the one provided by the hospital. Throughout the whole processes they were not only able to help us troubleshoot any problems and switched the equipment when we couldn't solve the problem ourselves, but they remembered exactly who we were even 5 months after stepping into the store. While a small gesture, it made a big impact on our family.

The medication is a 5, but the customer service is a 1. Usually my vet sends the prescription, then the pharmacy calls me and leaves me a voicemail to see if I want it filled... however, when I call back to confirm that I do want it, it always seems like the biggest hassle on earth. Some lady with a bad attitude usually answers and I gotta do a long explanation on why I am calling, then they take my name and they put me in like a 5 minute hold, then they transfer me to someone to whom I gotta explain all over again why I am calling. It is very frustrating. They should just send a text where I could simply reply "Yes".Also, I gotta do that every time refills run out. Any other pharmacy I've dealt with, when they run out of routine refills, they just contact the doctor to approve more refills. Not here. I have to worry about when I will run out of refills and do all the hassle again. I've been ordering the same thing for almost two years, and every time, I just dread it. I sure love my dog.

Poor customer service. Placed on hold on call so they could complete a transaction. Sat on hold for 7 minutes and then picked up and hung up on. Called back but it was now 7PM so you can’t reach anyone.

I called ahead and received information that a rental for a knee walker would be prorated if I did not use it the entire month. The lady was extremely nice. When I picked it up, i clarified it with her. I used it for a week and returned it. I found out that when I returned it, they do not prorate. The information I received was incorrect. I was told they would get with me on what they were going to do. I called the following week and was told they would "make an exception". They would return part of my money but would be charging me a cleaning feee. I would have no problem with that, except, my invoice has a sticker on it that says "If returned excessivley, there will be a $30 cleaning fee." To me, that means if returned clean, there is not a cleaning fee. This has left a bad taste in my mouth after what was originally a very pleasant experience.

What a truly incredible place. Our 18-year-old pomeranian would not take his medicine. Hopelessly, I went to our vet in tears, explaining that I was spending three hours a day trying to cook different foods just to get our boy to take his medication, and still, he wasn't getting it. I didn't mind the time I spent as he was worth every second, but it was that at the end of the day, he still wasn't getting this critical medication. The vet did some research and found out that Tri-State compounding pharmacy could change the manner we administer his medication into a topical form. It was such an incredible blessing as we were able to watch Hurley slowly regain his interest in food once again and I was no longer offering him unhealthy options just as a means to get him to take his food. Each time we needed a refill, they were quick and efficient. They would even call ahead of time to ensure our medication was ready when we needed it.The last time they called, unfortunately I had to inform them that we would no longer be needing the medication as we had just found out our sweet boy only had days to live. Cancer is truly a terrible thing. Of course I was unable to keep my composure and began to cry on the phone as I told them to discontinue the medication. The woman I spoke with was so thoughtful and caring and took an extra moment to check on me, accurately guessing that something was wrong with Hurley, even calling him by name.Fast forward a few days (six days since our sweet boy passed), and we receive a sympathy card in the mail. But the most amazing part of this is that it is not a generic card. No, this card has been handmade, down to the cut out saying glued on the top and the dog and bone stickers adhered to the front. It was such a genuinely thoughtful gesture, and it reminds me just how much is lost with big corporations and chains. This pharmacy is an absolute treasure where their one-on-one focus, attention, and compassion is unmatched. It is also wonderful to know if we ever need medical equipment, we have somewhere just up the street that has a large selection in stock with knowledgeable staff ready to greet and help you the moment you walk in.If you need anything, I highly recommend visiting them.

Many providers have helped me through my journey with prostate cancer, surgery, and recovery. None have been more helpful, pleasant, considerate and responsive than Joyce Kramer and the rest of the staff at Tri-State Compounding.

They made an extra effort to assure timely availability of a needed medication. However, we ended up spending 90 minutes plus on the phone with our insurance before this pharmacy agreed to the expected price. Once this issue was resolved they have been wonderful.
