Cannot get ahold of a real person. Have been 4 times in person and always a “be back in a few” sign on the door. If you work an office job tou are expected to be there even if it’s boring btw.

The new GM, Bri, at the Red Bank Road office called to remind Me to pay my bill as I was late. She was super sweet and polite. Of course I forgot to pay it. When I went to pay the delinquent bill embarrassed and all , she again was Respectful and super polite. She will be a great general manager. Her customer Service Skills are excellent. I appreciated her

This storage place is STILL In DEPLORABLE CONDITION!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE HESRING FROM ME. MY FURNITURE HAS MOLD GROWING ON IT. THIS IS NOT COOLED. SO MUCH MOISTURE. THE DOCK DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE. LIGHT STILL OUT NEAR MY UNIT , EXIT SIGN STILL BROKEN. I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE AGAIN. THIS S A CORPORATE ISSUE AS WELL.

The units seem clean and well maintained but move in is difficult. I received my door code over a week ago, but every time I try to access my unit it is still not unlocked yet. It is very difficult to make it here during office hours due to work

They made getting a unit and moving in incredibly simple. But, even more amazing than that, they made moving out just as easy! I cleared out my unit and had every intention of calling to cancel. But before I got around to that call, I received an email letting me know that my move out was complete! I guess they noticed I had removed all my stuff and the lock and went ahead and closed out my account, which I really appreciate. Totally awesome facility (even if their bathrooms were out of order when I really, really needed them).

Lisa at the Red Bank Road location was wonderful! She was very professional, and explained everything to my husband during a phone conversation. She was very professional and courteous to me when she gave me a tour of the facility, and when I signed the contract. John was in the office, and he was very pleasant too!

I am still a patron of this place but my experience with them started in early 2019.
Through the years I noticed that there were frequent increases - I rent a 10x10x8 room and the initial rate was $65+tax, as of April 2024 the rate jumped up to $145+tax ($156.31). After looking at the increases I expressed my concern to Lisa/ GM for the frequency of the increase and she indicated they go up annually like the price of eggs, bread etc
Upon my due diligence I assessed that they did over 8 rate increases during the course of my tenure - and quite frequently they were bi- annual increases. I asked for a reduction as the same size unit with them is currently $68+ tax but after appealing to her area manager Lisa indicated that he will stop the rate increases but there would be no reduction. My choice it to pay or vacate.
Over the course of the rental there I did use it often and it was a beneficial service. I must also supplement the concerns of some other patrons there : door left intermittently open, lack of carts to use for moving belongings, the men’s restroom has not had running water or soap for 2+ years. On one occasion when I addressed the GM for that she said that it’s an automatic faucet and patrons keep removing the batteries out of it therefore it doesn’t function. With a place of this capacity and volume you’d expect running water, soap and a usable restroom but it’s not. The toilet has had a broken cap on it for 2+ years and continues to be in that condition.
If you’re going to rent a unit here for a short term it’s great but if you have long term and frequent needs please be aware of all the discrepancies above.
Update:
Revisit 6 weeks later and the same situation persists. Toilets are malfunctioning and the one is still broken. No soap in any dispensers. The water still doesn’t work. Had a phone call with the GM and she says she had university kids rent storage earlier this year and they continue to remove the batteries from the automatic faucets. She expressed the same concern last year. Asked her why they don’t use standard faucets like most commercial properties. Indicated they can’t make the decision, it’s the owner of the property that makes that decision.
Emailed Cube Smart customer services. No response. I think they reply automatically to suggest that they respond to these type of concerns but obviously they do not.
