I have never had a problem with fish I have bought here but I don't think they quarantine their fish unfortunately I hope I am wrong but I haven't really got a straight answer from them either way. This has the best selection of fish around me. I went the longest time without seeing sick or dying fish in their tanks but recently I saw a tank with many sick and dying otos in it amomgst pygmy cories habrosas amd true pygmys and it was although out of the ordinary I find it hard they didn't notice and separate to try and treat those fish. Other than that the majority of the time the fish seem healthy.

this place has wonderful aquatic plants and lots of decor options. my favorite place to buy things for my tank. their selections make beautiful tank creations. everything in the picture (minus the crystals) is from them!

I've been going to this place for years and it's definitely the best aquarium store in the cinci area! The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and so far I have yet to get a fish or shrimp from them and have it die, all their pets are well cared for! They've even helped me rehome 2 of my pets when I needed to! 100/10 definitely recommend this place for all your aquarium needs!

Been doing business with Tom since this shop was in the basement of the building next door about 40 years ago. Nice all around the pet shop and known for healthy specimens.

Decent store with an ok selection but the older gentleman that runs it needs better customer service. Ask him a question and he’ll assert a point that doesn’t answer your question and then acts like your a total idiot. Definitely better to go to one of the nearer stores as they’ll help you out a lot more.

The people there are always wonderful and helpful. Great selection and they are open awesome hours. Highly recommend them for any of you aquatic, lizard or in our case hermit crab needs.

Went in specifically for fish. You can tell they take great care of them, unlike the big chain stores. I will not shop for my fish from anywhere else and I will only recommend Monfort Aquarium for buying fish!

All fish dead in 48 hours.I was really excited to come here. A bit skeptical with signs posted stating accept fish returns for 24 hours only. Started 20G tank 1 month ago with 3 catfish and 5 harlequin rasboras. Went to Monfort a little over a week ago and got 6 tetras. 5 tetras died in less than 24 hours, the last one died the next day. 3 days later, one of my established catfish died, the next day, 2 rasboras, and this morning, the rest of the rasboras floating dead.So disappointed.

I got my fish, snails, and plants here. The shop has lots of varieties of animals and plants, and the people there helped me a lot with choosing the right fish and plants for my setup. Everything was pretty affordable and one of my favorite places to go for all my aquatic needs
