Apparently, this place has more work than they can keep up with. Asked how much a diagnostic was for an 07’ Tahoe with a service 4wd light and was given a price. Promptly followed with a I’m kind of backed up right now. Felt like I was interrupting his personal time with the receptionist. Which I can’t blame him cause she was hot.. LMAO!

When the transmission on my Ford Escape went out, I knew I had a costly repair ahead. After a lot of research across the Cincinnati area, I chose Northgate Transmission based on our initial phone conversation.
I dropped the car off on a Tuesday and was astonished when it was done by Friday. The speed of service was truly impressive! It’s been about 10 months since the rebuild, and the Escape is still rolling strong.
What stood out most was their honesty: a clear, itemized bill and detailed warranty paperwork. They are an honest shop focused only on great transmission work. While I hope I never need this service again, I would recommend Northgate Transmission without hesitation.

Got my 2019 carivan done a few days ago. I called Mike and explained to him my troubles,he said I could drop it off in the am. I did he called me back next day and very well explained my issues an said I'm gonna need it rebuilt sooner rather than later. I gave him the ok to get it done. And Holy crap, he got it done it ONLY 2 DAYS, its like it was quicker than ordering a pizza lol. Long story short Mike and his crew took aceptional care of my van and I'm very happy. So if you need work done I highly recommend his business. If you take it somewhere else your going to the wrong place. I will direct my family and friends to his business. THANK YOU MIKE AND YOUR CREW!!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Northgate Transmissions! From start to finish, Mike and the team were professional, honest and knowledgeable. Mike took the time to explain what was going on with my Grand Cherokee, and made sure I understood every step before moving forward. The transmission rebuild was done quickly, and my Grand Cherokee drives better than it did new! It's hard to find a shop that you can truly trust - Northgate Transmissions definitely earns that trust! High recommend to anyone needing transmission work or auto repair done right the first time! If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would.
My Jeep was towed here on the 10/29/25. The owner has no customer service skills whatsoever. No greeting or anything. Very condescending and rude.
That should have been the first indication that this business is not for me.
I called to see if the mechanics were able to get to my vehicle on 10/31/25 and no answer and NO CALL BACK. (Even though it states it on the voicemail. A callback will be made)
Fast forward to 11/3/25
I called and Mike states “we will get to it by end of the day”
Nope. No phone call or anything.
Mike calls me on Wednesday 11/05/25 and tells me that there is nothing that they can do. He doesn’t want the job. I told him “no problem I’m on my way.
Here’s the kicker……My Jeep sat there in same spot on Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. They never even looked at my Jeep! My dash cam recorded every single day! Didn’t even bother looking at the vehicle at ALL.
A ENTIRE WEEK MY VEHICLE SAT THERE WAS FOR NOTHING!
Shady and janky business practices.
I’m happy they didn’t work on my JEEP!
Two things that I really dislike are folks BS me around and folks wasting my time.

Mike and his crew are the best of the best. Customer Service is top notch. Mike explains everything that needs to be done, no high pressure sales, just facts. The decision is totally yours. I won't go anywhere else. My Jeep drives like it did when it was new.

I originally had my vehicle at a dealer. They told me I needed a new transmission and the quote was really high. I told them i had a warranty but they wanted me to do all the leg work to contact the warranty company. I called Northgate and he informed me they do work for the warranty companies. He has rebuilt a transmission on another vehicle for us before so i picked my truck up from the dealer and took it to him. By the next morning he had already contacted the warranty company and got approval for the repairs. He was able to get the transmission fixed quickly and kept me updated by text through the whole process. He even had one of his employees give me a ride to the car rental office so i could get my rental. He has rebuilt two transmissions for me and both vehicles ran like new after having the transmissions repaired by this company.

Mike and his team were second to none on my transmission rebuild. From the first call to the final bill I was charged exactly what I was quoted. No hidden fees or extra add ons. The most impressive part of the whole experience is how quickly they turned my truck around. In less than 36 hours they had the transmission out, rebuilt and reinstalled. The icing on the cake was they even washed my truck and put some tire shine on the tires. I can’t recommend them enough. Great experience with Northgate Transmission!!

My family was in the area from out of state when our transmission died on the highway. We got towed to Northgate and were treated unbelievably well from the second we got there to the time we got our van back. You're in good hands here.
