Kevin seems to know how to tackle any DIY project you might have, and has been a huge help every time I've visited.

If you're trying to chase that nostalgia of going to the hardware store as a kid...its here.If you think that they might have something you need...they probably do

The guy at the counter is very helpful, even when you double back, switch products because you think you know more, he patiently corrects you and goes back and gets you what you NEED...AGAIN?

A true gem of a hardware store! So glad to have this place to go to when a project has hit a snag -- Kevin always has a suggestion or a solution! His repair service is superlative too... he has fixed two lawnmowers for me and both ran like new when I got them back. Need an obscure fastener? If he doesn't have it, his dad at Camp Washington Hardware probably will! I have been and will continue to be a happy and loyal patron!

There are only two real hardware stores in Cincinnati. Northside Hardware, and Beck's in Walnut Hills. I've patronized both for years especially for those hard-to-find items that you'll never find in the box stores.I wish I could remember the owners name for Northside (I think it was Bill). He was so helpful and knowledgeable about so many things. I remember going in there back in my late twenties. The store was packed from floor to ceiling, and the aisles were so narrow you had to turn sideways to pass someone. Now some might say that's cool but how do you find what you want? Simple! You just ask Bill. However, you might have to wait a moment or two because there was always a gang of professions and DIYers exchanging ideas and methods about various projects. I can't tell you how much I learned just by hanging out and listening. I'm 71, and I still use things I learned there.Judging from the new signage on the storefront, I'm assuming that Bill has gone to the big hardware store in the sky. To be honest, I use the box stores for their convenience, but if I need something special Northside Hardware is where I'll go. I hope that the current owner(s) are as good as Bill.

Nice resource, a valuable community asset. Has the opportunity and potential to be the neighborhood hero! Hardware is more than selling bits and pieces. Knowledge, service, and problem solving sets the the neighborhood hardware store apart from the big home center or online stores. Give these guys a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Old school long time in business hardware store that's got it all. So many of these businesses are gone even though they're such an asset to a community.
