A lot has changed here in the last 20 years. SEVERAL items were stained. Legitimately stained. And also VERY worn. Back in the day they wouldn't take ANYTHING unless it was perfect and they preferred name brand. There was nothing different than goodwill or salvation army. The standards have went way down.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! TRUST ME!!
TAKE THEM TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION!!
I saw the reviews and almost took my clothes to a different Location but this one was on my way so I decided to go since our bag had good brands. Thinking that the bad reviews are just people being salty but apparently that’s not the case. I walk in with a big cloth bag @like.. 2pm (not a garbage bag), I stand in front of the lady at the counter, she doesn’t greet me or say anything so I ask “Do I put this on the desk”, this lady doesn’t even look up and says “no set it right there” , She shows the the QR code and I fill it out, I tell her I’m done and she says thanks, this lady never looked up and sounded almost aggravated I was there. NOT EVEN 8 minutes later I get the pick up notification. I swear to god, My bag looked almost untouched and I was told my clothes needed to be watched and they had too much wear and not in season. My bag had multiple guy Under armor, Nike things (jackets, a hoodie, and sweat pants) and other girl brands some that had tags still, and a purse. All folded except a few dresses on top and a pack of unopened new brand spanx (which is how I know they didn’t look at it). When picking it up I tried to ask questions but the attitude and vibe was just completely unwelcoming and made me feel dirty in a way? Like… did my clothes stink? I certainly didn’t think so? Do people need to buy clothes and take them immediately there to donate or what’s the problem?

Would not even bother bringing your clothes in here, twice now they have not even gone through the clothes i brought it and when i asked why they were passing on them they said they weren't the one that went through them and walked away.
I brought in a large bag and it took 4 mins.

I brought in clothes to Plato’s Closet, and when I came back to pick them up, I was told they needed to be ‘laundered’ or ‘taken somewhere else.’ The employee said it loudly, right in front of other customers, as if my items were dirty or unacceptable. My clothes were already clean, organized, and neatly folded when I brought them in. Instead of returning them in the same condition, they handed them back to me completely unfolded and in a messy pile, showing zero care or respect for my belongings. I take pride in my hygiene and how I care for my wardrobe. Instead of professionalism or basic respect, I was met with rudeness and unnecessary humiliation. I left feeling judged, disrespected, and shocked by how unprofessional this store was. This experience made it very clear that they do not value their customers or treat them kindly. I will not be returning.

It smells a little like a highschool gym locker room, or a dorm room hallway, but it's not like, a problem or gross or anything, just musty.
HUGE selection of a VARIETY of things. Everything is well organized and packed in here!
I am a little confused as to what they accept and what they deem as unacceptable, but my two recommendations are;
1.) Maybe stop taking vacation-spot merch, with the name of a vacation or attraction on the front and that's usually the only text on the garment cause youse have a lot of those and it's overwhelming fr. No one wants a hand me down Nashville Tennessee tye dye tshirt from 2007, fam.
2.) stop writing with a sharpie on the dang shoes!! Some of those which are worth a lot of money are RUINED the second they are written on! Y'all be writing prices on the bottom.of Jordans like whyyyyy 🤣😭
Love this store tho and awesome business concept. Great location and friendly staff.

It’s understandable that this is a used clothing store and that they can only offer a certain percentage so that they can stay afloat and make money their selves but some of the things that you take in there that are worth maybe $85 and never worn you think they would wanna offer more than $3.20.

I visited the Beechmont location on August 16, 2025 in the evening right before closing. Clothes/hangers on the floors of the aisles, couldn't get my cart threw 1 aisle with out running into clothes or hangers. Employees attitudes were nasty and judgemental. Was the only one waiting to be cashed out for a full minute and half, the workers walking around behind the registers, every so often glancing my way then looking back down... One of the girls working had a bright pink bra on, her tank top pulled so far down in the front you can see about an inch of her bra. Unprofessional. Are yall trying to make it look like you're running a brothel? Animal hair inside alot of the shoes.
1 positive thing about this store: I think the kids name is Cody, has longer dark hair. Cody was very respectful, knowledgeable and helpful. He was always busy working every time i seen him. Asked the price of a shirt that didn't have the tag, Cody gave me a price. One of the girls working asked if he was finished completing a task, he was, she asked him to put the men's clothes away, he said yes, no hesitation. Very hard worker. Hire more Cody's!!!!

The first lady I talked to was very friendly and I was happy with her. However the lady doing the QR code on this day was not very friendly, there was a situation where someone else’s clothes got mixed up and as they were trying to figure it out she kept rolling her eyes and giving her coworkers nasty looks when she turned around. The place was messy and very unorganized. They were trying their best with what they had and most of them were nice. They also told me it would take hours for my bin to get sorted through and I was fine with that, so I went home. The second sat down I got told it was ready ( wasn’t even 15 minutes) and they didn’t take a single thing even when I had all name brand seasonal items.
