Great company to work for. They care about their employees. You can't find that anymore about companies.

My husband and I wanted quartz counter tops installed in our kitchen. I visited the showroom with a friend and chose the quartz I liked. I emailed the company on March 13th with a copy of my kitchen floor plan and counter top measurements, seeking a quote, fully intending to hire them as soon as they were available. I called them 2 days later when I didn’t receive a reply, and left a voicemail. It took 3 days for a reply, and I was assured a quote would be ready by the end of the week. It is now March 30th, and I’ve not heard a word. Guess they don’t need the business??

We had granite countertops installed, through Lowes. They contracted through this company. There is abysmal communications from the store, to the project manager, to the site manager. We were told things were cleared from one end just to receive an email at 8pm from someone else stating, “products needed up to be bought next day.” We were even threatened to have our install cancelled out and the need for re purchase if we didn’t buy our counter top bracers by a certain time. After the bracers were bought, they were never even installed. The granite has chips on the surface. The existing sink that we were told we could re-use was deemed unusable. They never tried anything other than hammering around the glue. The old adage, “you get what you pay for” is ever present with this company.

I was disappointed and ended up not choosing Sims-Lohman after they indicated that they can't make an opening for a cooktop: they were going to put 4 seams and rails around the cooktop instead of making countertop with a cutout for the cooktop.I got a different company that brought the countertop with a perfectly made cutout for the cooktop. Not sure what the issue was at Sims-Lohman, but everyone else I talked to was in disbelief when I said Sims-Lohman wouldn't do cutouts for cooktops.I give it low rating because it is unacceptable to have a cooktop with seams around it. I didn't find out they can't do cooktop cutout until they came to measure. It ended up wasting my time and delaying my project.

I recently bought a new build home w/a Sims-Lohman kitchen and spent the better part of a year trying to order a few more matching cabinets and upgrade our countertops. A frustrating experience that eventually got us (mostly) what we ordered. Here's a list of issues:- Dayton showroom exists, but is never open (even during their posted business hours)- Dayton showroom phone number links to 2 different employee phones. The first is a former employee whose phone # is disconnected. The 2nd goes to voicemail that never returns calls.- Sales people are nearly impossible to get ahold of. When you do finally get ahold of them, they often don't return calls/emails.- The cabinet our sales person ordered did not fit our built-in oven despite providing the manufacturer requirements. When politely presented with this issue, the salesperson eventually stopped responding for weeks. They only started responding again after I informed them that I modified the cabinet by removing the floor, portions of the face and adding extra support elsewhere to get it to work.- Countertop install team arrived without one of the granite pieces and did not know why. After investigation, they found it was broken during fabrication and had to come out with it the next day.- The replacement granite piece was much thicker than the rest of our countertops. The well meaning installers tried to trim it down on-site, but ended up trimming too much on one end. So now we have one granite piece that is noticeably thinner than the rest right in front of our cooktop.- Installers were not aware of our provided cooktop dimensions and left the gap larger than the manufacturer listed maximum. I've had to fix by adding wood shims around the gap.- Sims-Lohman does not allow you to pay by any method other than mailed check. Predictably, they had trouble finding one of our two checks and threatened to delay install, despite me following all directions to include PO numbers on the checks. After I sent a photo of the check I envelope, they were able to locate it.- Our sales person required a deposit check for half the amount. We assumed the other half was due upon install, like most businesses. Turns out they need half payment to order the materials and other half before scheduling install. This was not explained and makes little sense as we ended up having to send in the two checks 2-weeks apart, but with nothing visible happening on our end. If nothing customer facing is happening between the 1st and 2nd check, they mine as well just ask for the whole amount at once. The good:- Their Cinci warehouse/showroom is huge. Very impressive operation w/tons of selection. Granite is gorgeous.- Staff was friendly and our salesperson did accommodate us for a visit late in the day w/our young child in tow.- Installers were on-time, professional and friendly/knowledgeable. They did a great job with our undermount sink install as well.- Prices seemed fair.

Tried to schedule an appointment with this location twice. Both times I was told I would receive a callback from a Salesperson within 24-48 hours. Over 3 weeks later, still nothing. Will be going elsewhere for cabinets.

Where to begin... Do NOT purchase from Sims-Lohman. Truly appalling customer service.I had high hopes of working with Sims-Lohman on our kitchen remodel. We wanted to match existing marble in our kitchen and we were excited when we found a product that worked at S-L. The salesperson who helped us through the project and install was great until she stopped returning my calls and emails. After installation was complete and we paid in full, we tried to work with S-L to get the following issues resolved:1. Team did not have correct drill bit to drill sink and soap holes in marble on day of install. The team did not show up on the day they were scheduled to return to drill the holes.2. There was “12” visibly written on marble. A team was sent to "remove" this. It was not able to be fully removed and has created a visible divot and has not been re-polished.3. The electric outlet cut-out was in the wrong place on the back splash. This required significant effort by our contractors to relocate the electric box in a brick wall. The measurements S-L took didn’t properly account for the height of the countertop.4. The wrong ends of the marble shelves were polished leaving the visible ends unfinished. Both ends were supposed to be polished to prevent this issue. I have confirmed this was in the production notes. Now I am told this cannot be done on site and the only way to fix this is to UNINSTALL THE PRODUCT.5. The marble shelves have the rubber mesh on the underside and it is visible. The shelves should have been polished on both sides per the install plan. AGAIN, I am told this cannot be done on site and the only way to do this is to UNINSTALL THE PRODUCT. THIS IS NOT AN POSSIBLE, IT WOULD REQUIRE DESTROYING MY KITCHEN.We are still trying to contact S-L and Our salesperson and her manager to fix these issues and they are IGNORING MY CALLS, MESSAGES, AND EMAILS.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND S-L, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEIR PRODUCT. PURCHASE SOMEWHERE THAT WILL RETURN CUSTOMER CALLS.Update February 2021:Sims Lohman never called us or reached out to us to remedy the situation after I posted this review. We reached out to their sales associate who said again that they can’t do anything to help us. We asked that they at least pay for the expense we incurred when our contractor had to relocate an electric outlet due to Sims cutting the outlet hole in the wrong spot. They said they would. We sent them the invoice for reimbursement. We never heard back even after following up.

Earlene has been amazing to work with from the beginning of our total kitchen remodel to the very end of the project. Her customer service has been exceptional and she has gone above and beyond to help us create a beautiful finished kitchen. We could not have completed this project without her help. She was a pleasure to work with.
