Says they take kittens, but "there is a waiting list and it would not be a kitten by the time it was accepted " I didn't want the cat just, didn't want it to die, do yourself a favor and don't rescue the cat just let it die where you found it because it's only going to be a burden to get rid of them for you.

I had the hardest time trying to find and adopt a baby kitten. And people judge for wanting something that is a baby. The women when I came in was very hesitant because I did not have any pets to begin with. (I am a single mother and I just wanted a companion for me and my daughter.) When I expressed only wanting one animal she then proceeded to try and show me a full grown cat, which was not what I was asking for. My biggest issue was if I’m paying for it I want what I’m asking for. Anyways, I bought the 2 kittens because the pressure was on. A boy and a girl kitten, not sure if they are siblings, but when I brought them home the male kitten who was bigger than the female started to try and assert his dominance in our house within just a few days. The first day he pooped behind my couch, fine accidents happen. But then the next day he peed in their cat bed, then the following day peed in my daughters bed. He never came out of her room and I was able to get him to warm up but ultimately I just couldn’t deal with the peeing in the bed. I hope he goes to a good home. When I had to bring him back luckily it was another woman to help me but when I walked in she was explaining to 2 young girls that she was waiting on an angry customer to bring back a kitty. Which was me, and I was not angry I was frustrated and anxious. So when she asked me what was wrong and I proceeded to tell her, she tried to compare “extra training” for the cat to caring for my 3 yr old daughter. There is no comparison between my child and an animal. The condescending remarks were definitely not needed.Needless to say thank god the search for a kitty is over, we have our little kitty girl who is doing great. After being pressured into 2 we are left with 1 and out $75 and I still have to pay for the other cat to get her last shots. And it smelled absolutely horrendous the Saturday I bought them.Rescue these animals from this place!

Hard working, they get a lot of pets adopted, and are very creative with using resources to help the animals in their care.

I've adopted a rabbit and gerbil from here. I love that this place helps animals that aren't typically at big shelters!

This place is a fantastic place. We contacted them about meeting a Guinea pig and we were able to meet, along with our current guinea pig, the very next day. They do a wonderful job of caring for various small animal types and are very knowledgeable about the animals as well. Definitely a double thumbs up.

Got my rabbit from there. Her name is Bug and she is the greatest rabbit in the history of rabbits. Love her and they were absolutely amazing during the adoption process.

Ohio Pet Sanctuary is one of the nicest animal shelters around. It’s not the biggest, but the staff is so nice and you can see they care. My oldest daughter wanted a rabbit and she found one there so I accompanied her to meet a little lion hair rabbit formally named Thumper...now Ash!He is the cutest and he’s a sweetheart and a great addition to our family. We have also fostered 2 other rabbits during the pandemic. Smokey was adopted by a loving family and Oreo formally named Arthur was a failed foster. We fell in love and decided to adopt him! I highly recommend Ohio Pet Sanctuary!
