I rented a pick up truck on October 7th. I told the worker I needed it for multiple days I wasn’t sure how many. She said I could rent it for 48 hrs and then come and re-rent it. They held 91. dollars for 2 days for a 19.95 a day rental. No big deal, I come back in on the 9th after 5:30, I’m not sure the exact time 5:30-6:30. You can see me on the security cameras drive up in the truck and park in the front. Go inside and talk to the worker with the platinum blonde hair. She says since we don’t have any reservations and aren’t busy you don’t have to re-rent it. I say ok cool, she click clacks on the computer and says you’re good to go. Just make sure you come back in to re-rent it. So 46 hours into that next 48hrs the guy from U-Haul shows up at my door with the police to confiscate the truck. He says it was due back the 7th I’m not under contract andI haven’t been paying for it. I tell him I RENTED it on the 7th and went back on the 9th to re-rent it and your worker told me I didn’t need to. It’s not due back until today at 6:30. It’s 5 o’clock, and I still need it. He’s says I’m not paying for it, I’m like well I have a charge on my card for the 10th for 99. dollars from U-Haul. It’s my business my truck I want the keys or we’re going to press charges. I said I’m a paying customer, I’m paying for it you’re going to charge me for 48hrs that’s not up for another hour. All this is on the cops body cameras, so he says I’ll give you until 7 before I run the card. I said well thank you for that because I have to go put money in the bank and I keep my card locked. It doesn’t have gas because I was still going to use it. I have 70 cents off a gallon plus the 4 times fuel rewards from Kroger. That’s 2.80 cents off a gallon I was going to use to fill it up. No I’ll charge you for the gas we put back in it. I’m like what is your problem, I’m a paying customer that did exactly what your employee told me to do. The officer says if you don’t give him the keys we will press charges. I said I have another hour I’m going to get charged for I’ll talk all the way up to that hour if I feel like it I’m paying for it. The officer knows me and knows I don’t have a record never been in trouble with the cops says just file a complaint with corporate. The worker had his name tag hidden so the officer made him make it visible so I could get his name. I had to walk to deposit money in my account because I had planned to drive there on the way to the-rent the truck. I get back from depositing the money and call
to file my complaint the lady lets me know he tried to run my card at 5 something when he got back. I guess he did that to make it look like I don’t have the money because he was wrong, I rented it on the 7th. I told him I keep my card locked he offered to wait until 7 but lied. It was a nice day all my neighbors are outside and saw the police come and confiscate the truck. How embarrassing when I did nothing wrong, I did everything i was supposed to do Ive been a loyal customer of U-Haul for 2 and a half DECADES, I’ve had an online account with them since they switched to computers. I didn’t even know another truck rental place but I had to google one because I ended up needing a truck unit the 14th. So I just took my money somewhere else, I’ll never rent from U-Haul again. I asked the lady to run my card because I know this weasel is going to try and say I wasn’t paying even though it’s all on the security cameras and the police body cameras. I’m not leaving my card unlocked so U-Haul when you want run my card for the other 48hrs and whatever fees and fines he tacked on let me know. The truck they rented me was wrecked all down the side. When he did run my card at 5 something it was almost 170 bucks for 48hrs for a wrecked truck that you threatened to have me arrested because I WAS PAYING FOR IT. This is the most unprofessional crap I’ve ever seen the in my life. What a joke no wonder y’all didn’t have any reservations and weren’t busy. The manager runs everybody to other companies.

I was told in my initial call that the truck would be equipped with straps. At the time, I didn't know there was a call center and the actual store so I don't know who I Spoke with with. When I called to discuss this with the store I was first talking to a gentleman, then some woman kept interrupting and saying that their store does not include straps never have, but you can buy them at their location. I had to end up hiring someone to move my china cabinets, because I had nothing just drop them down with. The woman at the store answering the phone was not friendly and not worried about my satisfaction at all

They charged me for literally nothing. I'll never use u haul again. Calling the family lawyer soon and collecting all the damages the roof leak did to our things.

The truck itself was clean, ran well, and was perfect for my needs. The shop had all my boxes and moving supplies for making my move great. What killed this review are the 160+ dollars charged to me after I dropped it off with no explanation. I'm guessing mileage? That extra charge more than doubled the actual amount quoted and charged initially.

If there was an option that was worse then poor I would have for sure picked that. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to ANYONE.

Charged for 4 gallons of gas on a 17 mile trip plus I put in 4 gallons that's 2 miles per gallon.they can't even do simple math here go elsewhere

Since when have association with someone stop you from renting a Uhaul truck? ??♀️....... I personally Don't owe Uhaul a Dime.... I wasn't there when the person rented nor did I know they visited this location..
