Having received a Final Delivery Notice for a package, I had to go pick it up myself with some notification.. So apparently I had to download the app(free). The app was really quite strict, and I had to enter all kinds of info, including my credit card info,as they charge $5.50 to have a package delivered to a UPS store instead of the downtown 3rd Street hub. It would be nice to have the option of payment upon receiving said package, at the location, but that's not an option. Great. Fine. I enter all the info, get charged through the app. I go to the store it's supposed to be, and they know nothing. No package. Luckily (through MUCH sleuthing) and I just happened to have the previous Delivery Notice with me, the Beechmont UPS location people(kudos to them) were able to determine that my package was at the downtown 3rd Street location anyway... I had taken off work early to go to the Beechmont location before they closed ($$). Finally got down to the downtown location, got my package, asked, "so do I get a refund for the $5.50 charge to ship it to a remote UPS store, since it never was sent there?" I got a "no" shake of the head. As I turned and walked away, I said, because the $5.50 and the time I took off work to get this thing, I'm probably out $25 bucks, and I didn't even order this. Someone was sending me something and I don't even know what the f*** it is." I used the real f word. FYI, while at the UPS store on Beechmont, we did find a package for someone else that had their name stickered on it 2-3 times, and also mine once. Pull your head out of your a*** UPS.
