I can't believe I had to shell out $3.99 for tape just because the package I was returning wasn't sealed. I honestly didn't expect to be charged for something as basic as tape, especially when I was returning an item. It would have been a small gesture of kindness if the person assisting me (the old lady) had offered some spare tape, but sadly, she didn't. I can't help but wonder if my ethnicity played a role in their decision. To be honest, while the place is generally decent, this experience really left me feeling disappointed and let down.

First experience going here was interesting. I had to fill out a change of address form. Being a individual of color of course I come in and is stared at. I asked where were the forms. The female agent right off the back points them out and say make sure you note you are living in a house with other relatives. I'm like excuse me?? Took it as if she was saying I couldn't afford to live in this neighborhood. I fill out the form and to her surprise it's labeled just me and apartment. She looked up and said oh...I thought.... I replied. Yup just me? No kids, no baggage and I work full time if you want to know that too. Also not sure if this has anything to do with this location but the fact that this neighborhood only receives mail 1-2 times a week is a terrible. I have family members throughout the city and they are getting mail 3-4 times a week. Seriously what is the deal? Mail here is so slow you guys sent out the change of address confirmation letter 2 weeks after to my old address ?? Wouldn't it made more since to mail that out to my new address knowing mailing services is slow in this area?

Delivered my package that required a signature, WITHOUT my signature! Said the reason why is "COVID protocol," but last I checked you can't sign for anyone else without their explicit permission. Should have gone back to the depot where I could have picked it up in person.

Usually, the Hyde Park post office is great with helpful, friendly people. Sometimes they're really understaffed, though, and the wait can be 15+ minutes, especially during the holidays. Often hard to guess if a trip there is going to take 3 minutes or 20 minutes.

Customer service is not their strong suit. Employee was a bit rude and did not seem happy to be there.

This post office location is in Hyde Park Square. There is pay for parking in the vicinity. This location gets 4/5 stars for being regularly busy with lines and no dedicated parking for patrons.

As far as I can tell it doesn't exist. There's no sign that says where it is and the building google says it's in is somebody's home...

I've always had quick and friendly interactions with the employees here. It's a very small office; often only one person is working. There's no parking lot, but meters are available on the street right in front of the office and across the street. If you're quick, you might not even have to pay the meter! (Though do so at your own risk, obviously)
