Maria was amazing and very funny! My wife and I were getting finger printed, but the machine was being very stubborn with reading my wife’s prints. Maria got a nail-filer and tape, then proceeded to clean/scrape my wife’s fingers to help get a better read… and it worked!! Thanks for your help, Maria :)

Maria helped us with our passport appointments. We are a family of four, and she assisted us two at a time. Maria was great to work with. She was direct and personable.
This location seems to receive a fair amount of foot traffic, and Maria managed the flow well. She let walk-in customers know she was the only one working and was currently busy. She encouraged them to use the kiosk or gave them an estimated wait time if they preferred to be assisted in person.
It's unfortunate that this location appears to be understaffed, as noted in other reviews, but I do not hold that against the employees. In my opinion, Maria handled all the customers efficiently and professionally.

Every time I have come to this post office seeking help, i have received excellent support and advise. From reviewing passport applications, how to ship something bulky, etc. employees like Maria have always been helpful. We are very fortunate to have this post office in our neighborhood

Madeira Post Office has excellent staff, while most branches are understaffed, Madeira offers passport appointments, retail services, P O boxes services and fingerprinting. Lead clerk Bibiana, Maria and Rama transition from one task to other offering a friendly service. Is sad to read bad reviews, but silver spoon customers just know to do this: complaint!
Big shout out for Madeira Ladies!

I went in for a passport appointment this morning and was unfortunately five minutes late, which is completely my fault and I apologized upon arrival. I was then asked to wait as they finished someone else's appointment from earlier in the morning, completely understandable. I quickly stepped aside and patiently waited for the clerk to be finished. Eventually someone else came to get a passport and I was rudely asked to go sit in a room by myself to wait. I could hear through the door and realized that she had begun with the next passport skipping over my appointment. She then entered the room with the other people trying to get a passport and I was again told that I needed to wait. I politely asked if they also had an appointment to which I was rudely told that I was late. Being only five minutes late the next appointment time had not yet even started and I started to realize she just did not want to help me. I asked to leave because I have other engagements today and did not have time to wait for her to complete other appointments after mine. When I tried to leave the woman who was helping with the passports stood in the doorway and would not move. I had to shimmy around her to just be able to leave the room. I was genuinely scared she was going to block my exit. Previously, I have worked with someone who has been wonderful to work with. Unfortunately she was not here today and the woman who did this had red hair but I unfortunately did not catch her name. When I asked the other worker for a customer service line she gave me slip of paper with a phone number to another post office rather than an actual customer service line. I would avoid this location at any cost, it seems doing their job is a major inconvenience in their day.

I was trying to send a package to my sister and I did not understand what I needed to do & the lady at the counter was rude , claiming “it’s not rocket science”. If I am customer and don’t understand something you should be able to explain it to me , Simple .

Paid to have a passport photo taken here and the passport office rejected the photo saying it didn’t meet the requirements.

Lose damn near every package that goes into that place, bad customer service. I'd be surprised if they actually do anything there.

Used to like this location but the ladies running the counter recently are impatient, unhelpful, and make fun of customers to each other.
