Went in and had to use the restroom, I was treated like a criminal and interrogated on why I needed to use it. When I came out I could hear the employees saying it was ridiculous and they were shutting them down. Won't get another cent out of me! Extremely rude employees.

Pharmacy takes forever to get prescriptions filled. One of the two was literally a tube of ointment. Not much counting capsules or handling to deal with there.
I went through a long line only to be told it would be 20-25 minutes longer. So I sat down and waited. When I got a text that it was ready, I alerted the tech at the counter. Then some customer gets all indignant as if I am cutting in line. Sorry, but I already waited in the line once. Surly customer claimed she had already gone through line once as well. Why would anyone do that? I would have no objections if anyone else who waited in line only to be told it was not ready yet alerted the tech when they got a text. It would seem that would actually move the line faster for most customer than having me get back in it and wait twice. You do you, surly fellow customer, but I only wait in the full line one time.
Downtown Walgreens much more efficient.
Also, some clerk in a Steelers jersey came down the aisle with a cart, KNOWING FULL WELL the slow pharmacy generates a nice long line. Then she acts as if the customers are in her way, and when I politely get out of the way, just glare stares. Get your Steelers jersey and your attitude out of my way, thank you very much, I'm the one dropping $80 in here.
On the good side, the actual tech who checked me out was OK, though they could have been more proactive in calling out my prescriptions once they knew or should have known I was there.
They had enough staff behind the counter to run a wing of the Pentagon. So not sure why they had such a slow line. Decades ago, my grandfather ran a neighborhood pharmacy. My Mom actually worked there until I was 10. That little store's ownership and staff had more hustle and politeness.
Next time, I'll just have it phoned downtown. Or literally go shopping for half an hour and waste some time before getting in their line. But if I can help it, there won't be a next time.
By contrast, the Urgent Care a couple doors down is fabulous, though. Seemed a natural option to just have the prescription sent to Paxton Walgreens. Oh well...

Encountered the LAZIEST and SURLIEST cashier. Would not pick up and scan my shoppers card. I had to. What?! Would not let me scan a 24-pack of water, saying she had to see it, so I had to lift the heavy thing onto the counter, because her lazy self couldn't peer over the ledge, or, gee, simply trust me or the register that would show I was scanning a oack of water. Why have a hand scanner, then? She treated me and a previous customer like idiots over the credit card prompts, which are different from retailer to retailer, so cut some slack, honey. Furthermore, this store has no carts anymore for big things like water, just small baskets on wheels. So how are people supposed to buy these items? I have destroyed my Walgreens card and will never enter this location again. Employees in aisles were helpful in directing me to items but this cashier was so unpleasant and flat-out rude.

The manager Shannon was very friendly and helpful and trusting. She allowed me to take another sunday newspaper because the one I bought earlier had no puzzle and missing many sections.
Thank you Shannon

I have never been to the pharmacy at this location without a long wait. They need to hire more staff. They have three registers in the pharmacy, but NEVER have all 3 open!

Sydney, at Paxton Ave Walgreens location provided great customer service today. I've been using the Montgomery Rd location in Norwood since it's closer to my home but I'm going to switch to the Paxton store. The pharmacist, Bill, at the Montgomery Rd location flat-out lied to me about an out-of-stock medication when he said he just looked this morning and no other Walgreens within the area carried it and I should switch my prescription to CVS. Note that I called at 9:25 AM and they open at 9 AM on a Saturday He chose to lie instead of taking three minutes to look in the system to help me. Luckily, I decided to call the next closest Walgreens on Paxton Ave and ask myself, and Sydney informed me that they had exactly the dosage I needed, and I could come and pick it up within the hour. She was kind and informative which is the kind of Customer Service I should be able to expect from any Walgreens. Thank you Sydney.

I'll preface my thoughts by stating that I'm fully aware that many retail pharmacists and techs are underpaid and overworked and that staffing is a challenge. That said, I'm not sure if it's this individual location or Walgreen's infrastructure, but I've been getting prescriptions filled here for six months (ever since Kroger had a spat with my insurance company) and have experienced nothing but problems. Two of the medications I'm on are newer and this location doesn't stock them much so they need to send out for them. Nearly ever time I've called in to get a refill they aren't ablet to get it ordered in time and I go days with out meds. It doesn't matter if I call in 5, 10, or 15 days out. Yes, these are newer meds and their is going to be a supply chain effect, however I'd never experienced these issues with my previous pharmacy.Their automated system is also total garbage. Many times I've received a text or phone call stating that my prescription was ready to be picked up, only to go to the pharmacy and learn that it will be another day or two until it's filled. They also claim to be able to "automatically refill" but that too doesn't work.I've also had issues getting the right medication distributed. Just recently I ordered a scrip, went inside, waited in line, paid for it, only to come home and find out that they put a totally different medication in the bag.In short, if you are on medication that you need to be taking daily in order for it to be effective, look elsewhere. You are sure to be missing out on meds if you work with this location.

I experienced considerable dissatisfaction during my recent visits to the Paxton Ave Walgreens branch. On my first visit, I was requested to wait for 15 minutes, followed by a 20-minute wait on my second visit, culminating in an hour and 15 minutes during my last visit. The demeanor of the staff was unaccommodating and somewhat arrogant, with an emphasis on patience from my end. The conduct of the front man at the pharmacy was particularly disconcerting. <(This happened 3 times.) I would advise against visiting this location, especially for those in immediate need of assistance or in discomfort. It is my hope that the management will address and rectify the prevailing attitude of the staff to ensure a more positive customer experience.

The employees here are friendly but the pharmacy is consistently understaffed. It's not unusual to wait in line for 25+ minutes to pick up a prescription because there's only 1 person working the counter. There Is always a long line at the pharmacy so clearly they service a ton of people. Given the demand, it would be nice to see more staff working, especially in the evenings after work hours. I feel for the pharmacy staff that's always working, this is clearly a larger issue for management.

There is always a line at the pharmacy and the front counter. There could only a few people in the store and they would be in line. They need help!

Nothing reminds me more of why we need to persevere capitalism than going to this unproductive poorly managed ridiculously high priced store. This is what is to be expected in North Korea and Canada. Not the U.S. get it together Walgreens! You are fooling yourself if you think people will tolerate such an unproductive store.

Wow, this pharmacy has gone downhill... lines to the pharmacy counter around the aisle. Techs wandering aimlessly behind the counter. One particular tech was lost trying to find prescriptions for people. I was 4th in line and waited 20 minutes. They didn't have my presciption ready and told the lady in front of me to come back tomorrow, after she'd come back a second time. What happened to this place? It used to be consistent and professional. Not any more- take your Rx's elsewhere

Easily the worst run Walgreens on the eastside of Cincinnati. Go to the one in Mariemont, it's much better.

This pharmacy does not stock all drugs and even though my condition is life-threatening, they said it’s up to me to find the drug at another Walgreens. It’s like they don’t have a computer system to tell them or they are too lazy to do it for you. Unacceptable
