Sydney, at Paxton Ave Walgreens location provided great customer service today. I've been using the Montgomery Rd location in Norwood since it's closer to my home but I'm going to switch to the Paxton store. The pharmacist, Bill, at the Montgomery Rd location flat-out lied to me about an out-of-stock medication when he said he just looked this morning and no other Walgreens within the area carried it and I should switch my prescription to CVS. Note that I called at 9:25 AM and they open at 9 AM on a Saturday He chose to lie instead of taking three minutes to look in the system to help me. Luckily, I decided to call the next closest Walgreens on Paxton Ave and ask myself, and Sydney informed me that they had exactly the dosage I needed, and I could come and pick it up within the hour. She was kind and informative which is the kind of Customer Service I should be able to expect from any Walgreens. Thank you Sydney.

I'll preface my thoughts by stating that I'm fully aware that many retail pharmacists and techs are underpaid and overworked and that staffing is a challenge. That said, I'm not sure if it's this individual location or Walgreen's infrastructure, but I've been getting prescriptions filled here for six months (ever since Kroger had a spat with my insurance company) and have experienced nothing but problems. Two of the medications I'm on are newer and this location doesn't stock them much so they need to send out for them. Nearly ever time I've called in to get a refill they aren't ablet to get it ordered in time and I go days with out meds. It doesn't matter if I call in 5, 10, or 15 days out. Yes, these are newer meds and their is going to be a supply chain effect, however I'd never experienced these issues with my previous pharmacy.Their automated system is also total garbage. Many times I've received a text or phone call stating that my prescription was ready to be picked up, only to go to the pharmacy and learn that it will be another day or two until it's filled. They also claim to be able to "automatically refill" but that too doesn't work.I've also had issues getting the right medication distributed. Just recently I ordered a scrip, went inside, waited in line, paid for it, only to come home and find out that they put a totally different medication in the bag.In short, if you are on medication that you need to be taking daily in order for it to be effective, look elsewhere. You are sure to be missing out on meds if you work with this location.

I experienced considerable dissatisfaction during my recent visits to the Paxton Ave Walgreens branch. On my first visit, I was requested to wait for 15 minutes, followed by a 20-minute wait on my second visit, culminating in an hour and 15 minutes during my last visit. The demeanor of the staff was unaccommodating and somewhat arrogant, with an emphasis on patience from my end. The conduct of the front man at the pharmacy was particularly disconcerting. <(This happened 3 times.) I would advise against visiting this location, especially for those in immediate need of assistance or in discomfort. It is my hope that the management will address and rectify the prevailing attitude of the staff to ensure a more positive customer experience.

The employees here are friendly but the pharmacy is consistently understaffed. It's not unusual to wait in line for 25+ minutes to pick up a prescription because there's only 1 person working the counter. There Is always a long line at the pharmacy so clearly they service a ton of people. Given the demand, it would be nice to see more staff working, especially in the evenings after work hours. I feel for the pharmacy staff that's always working, this is clearly a larger issue for management.

There is always a line at the pharmacy and the front counter. There could only a few people in the store and they would be in line. They need help!

Nothing reminds me more of why we need to persevere capitalism than going to this unproductive poorly managed ridiculously high priced store. This is what is to be expected in North Korea and Canada. Not the U.S. get it together Walgreens! You are fooling yourself if you think people will tolerate such an unproductive store.

Wow, this pharmacy has gone downhill... lines to the pharmacy counter around the aisle. Techs wandering aimlessly behind the counter. One particular tech was lost trying to find prescriptions for people. I was 4th in line and waited 20 minutes. They didn't have my presciption ready and told the lady in front of me to come back tomorrow, after she'd come back a second time. What happened to this place? It used to be consistent and professional. Not any more- take your Rx's elsewhere

Easily the worst run Walgreens on the eastside of Cincinnati. Go to the one in Mariemont, it's much better.

This pharmacy does not stock all drugs and even though my condition is life-threatening, they said it’s up to me to find the drug at another Walgreens. It’s like they don’t have a computer system to tell them or they are too lazy to do it for you. Unacceptable

This pharmacy takes forever… they never have stuff prepared and can never find your prescription quickly. Every time I come it’s a 20 minute wait

Employees are not well trained. They don't know the products or even the pamphlet explaining Walgreen's rewards programs. Employees are sloppily dressed. Some have on too much makeup, poor attitudes, and unprofessional appearance. It took four people to figure out how to do a photo book, and even then, it was done incorrectly and had to do again. Don't recommend this store to anyone.

The initial technician I spoke with about filling a prescription made lots of facial expressions that were unprofessional when they were asking me questions about why I was starting a particular medical therapy. I gave them my employer sponsored insurance card and they appeared to enter it in the the system. I would later find out they did it wrong or not at all. The medication was rejected on its face for prior authorization by the insurance even though I had called the insurance and they said it would be covered because of my overall health. Then I called the Dr. office in addition to sending them a MyChart message to expedite the prior authorization process. Days passed and I got a MyChart message that the PA was approved and the pharmacy should be filling the Rx. Gave them a couple days to call or text without any activity so I went in. The Rx was not filled because there was some kind of problem with the insurance billing entry so the technician previously had stored the Rx. Now I have to call the Dr. office and insurance again to continue fighting to get healthy again. Yay for obstruction in access to healthcare and delay of therapy. The whole prior authorization process needs to be banned. If the MD and RPh/ PharmD agree it is an appropriate therapy then insurance needs to get out of the way and stop forcing patients to either go without or pay full cash price when said insurance specifically tells you something is covered.

The cashier on the weekdays in the afternoon isn’t nice at all. I always get a mean glare and cold shoulder from her. And I visit this location quiet often. I really hope they’ll work on her customer service skills.

They refused to give me a receipt for a purchase that was over $100. When I insisted they said I must have “electronic receipts”, which isn’t true because I never do that, and when I signed in to my account there were no listed —very sketchy. Never shopping here again.

Closed during normal business hours today (and I’m not talking about their stated lunch break). No estimate of when they will return. Ridiculous and unprofessional. If you can’t count on them to be open in the middle of the day during the work week, I don’t have much faith that they can keep to weekend business hours either. Will be moving my prescriptions somewhere else.
