I called at 1:00 pm to ask until what time they were purchasing clothing today. I was told to come by 4;00. I drove a half hour, arrived at 2:45 and told no longer purchasing today. Their loss

I called at 1:00 pm to ask what time I needed to come to sell clothes. I was told 4:00. I arrived at 2:45. I drove a half hour. Manager was very rude and said no more buying today. Didn't apologize. Rather, he laughed. I will be glad when they go out of business.

NOT A THRIFT STORE. This is a resale store and fine for what it is. "Curated" clothes that appeal to their target market who would rather pay 3x than go to a thrift store and dig around.

a true thrift store, it's clearly all upcycled/second hand stuff. everyone is always nice when i come in and if all else fails, i usually find a solid tee or two. haven't sold items here yet, so can't comment on that experience.

Avalon used to be the place to find huge variety and the flyest clothes and shoes on the East side of Cleveland. They also used to value buying good clothes/shoes and helping the community. Today I brought in my entire collection (16 pairs) of designer pumps and ankle boots, thigh high boots I used for display and for burlesque. ALL SIZE 10, which is a less common size, and well sought after. Most of these shoes I had bought at Avalon, and most had never even been on my feet or ever walked in. They gave me $7.50 for two of the least exciting and most plain pairs of shoes. Since I had shown interest in donating, they expected I was going to donate all the shoes they SHOULD have bought from me. The clerk said "you can see we have a lot of shoes" (which they don't), and the variety and quality of clothes was worse than if I were to have gone dumpster diving (which I will prefer to what Avalon has devolved into). On top of it, they broke the vinyl bag I used to bring them my shoes. Coventry used to be the hippest place to visit, akin to Haight Street (SF, CA). Now it is a symbol of hate, with a black fist painted on the window across the street from Avalon. What a sad sorry shame, not worth the visit, not even worth the effort it took to write this review.

Meeeh, very few racks of clothing. I certainly wouldn't call this a vintage clothing shop. I've done better finding stuff at the goodwill.

Very nice trendy thrift shop, the constant changing of articles and the selection is superb. Decently priced nice employees I definitely recommend checking this spot out.

I adore this place and so do all my friends. Such great options at affordable prices. I only wish my elementary school kids could shop here and find things for themselves. They love street fashion and want to dress like their grown-ups.

Listen, you have people there doing literally nothing but sitting on the counter and being on their phones. Great place to never go. Thanks.

Good finds here on some luxury designer stuff. Gotta go into the store for the real finds. They do post a few things on their ig. Always feels good to upcycle and look good at the same time.

These people need a new way to run this terrible business. I came in on a Wednesday in the middle of the day at 2 o'clock and they stop buying at 4 o'clock and this guy at the counter tells me that he can't buy anything from me and they are done for the day (mind you they open at 11) because they had some call offs. I don't even know what that means or what that has to do with anything.

If I could give this place a zero, I would!. I suppose throwing in a $4 little button on a deal was too much extra money to add to the tiny bit that was given for a expensive leather. His complete attitude about it was snooty, he looked & sounded appalled when I even asked? like that $4 button was gunna break the store! They already cheat people, you don't have to have an " I'm better then you" attitude. The gentleman that took care of me was kind & professional ! But the person "bargaining"has an attitude that he's somehow better than! I don't recommend this place.. unless you wanna be cheated!
