Pet Care

Oak Tree Veterinary Hospital
1808 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland HeightsMarion deserves recognition for running outside to help me carry a crate with a large cat inside. She saw my struggle on the sidewalk and ran to help without solicitation. She graciously did the same thing when I was leaving. She was so attentive and left a fabulous impression with me. This person is what every employer dreams of having. Thank you so much Marion!!!

Pet Sitting & Training

PawsCLE
1970 Lee Rd, Cleveland HeightsWe have been very happy with the accommodations and services at Paws CLE since we started with a grooming in November 2023. Our girl always seems eager to visit and happy to head home and rest when we've had her in daycare. The grooming services along with the daycare/boarding really sets this place apart if you are able to take advantage.

AlphA and Omega Dog Training - Cleveland
1736 Wood Rd, Cleveland HeightsWe have had so much success with our doberman working with Karlon! He has done individual stays with Karlon and training with us and our dog together and we are very thankful. Karlon has always been extremely helpful and flexible whenever we have needed help with our growing doberman. I couldn't recommend them more.

Luna Bakery & Cafe
2482 Fairmount Blvd, Cleveland HeightsWe had a mixed experience for our first time but overall enjoyed ourselves. The Luna cake was delicious and the sticky bun was good but would have been better if warmed up. We waited over 30 minutes for our pastry due to a misunderstanding with the cashier. The staff was apologetic and offered a pastry on the house for a wait which was very kind.

Vero Pizza Napoletana
12421 Cedar Rd, Cleveland HeightsA little underwhelming for the price.. Pizza was good but a 13 inch pizza for 26 is crazy! A couple of pies, a couple of drinks and a salad.. dont forget the tip.. $120! Place was nice service was good.. oh yeah.. had to cut my own pizza with scissors!

Pacific East Japanese Restaurant
1763 Coventry Rd, Cleveland HeightsWent absolutely insane on the boat for three!! Might as well have been all you can eat and we were a group of FOUR. The sushimi variety was impressive and the incredible flavor had me trippin. Not sure if it was the saki, sharing this experience with my fellow diamond dogs, or my uncultured palate, but this place rocked!!

Mama Joyce's
2238 Lee Rd, Cleveland HeightsAfter a long work week of plowing and salting, I needed some real home-cooked food. I called ahead and placed an order, let them know I was about 25 minutes out, and when I arrived my food was ready in about 5 minutes—they made it work.
I sent my grandma to pick it up for the family, and she said the place was very clean, the staff was friendly, and they even offered her a drink while she waited. She’s a senior, so that kind of hospitality means a lot to me. Customer service like that is rare these days, and the way they treated my grandma speaks volumes. Truly a godsend.
We ordered 3 soul bowls, a side of red beans and rice, corn muffins, and a piece of orange roughy. The yams were delicate but still held together. The mac and cheese was creamy with a nice cheese pull. The dirty rice had a slight spice that was balanced perfectly by the sweet cornbread or yams in the bowl. The chicken fritters weren’t overly seasoned and complemented the bowl really well. The orange roughy was lightly breaded with great flavor.
The only thing I’d personally pass on is the fries—but with all those sides, fries were the last thing I needed anyway.
If you’re looking for a filling, comforting two-step meal, the $15 soul bowl is absolutely the move. Big thanks to the cooks and the staff. I’ve seen comments about consistency, and I get it—that’s exactly why people keep coming back.
I’ll definitely be back and plan on ordering a couple half pans of sides for my holiday dinner to support a local business. Just know when Jovani R places an order, it’s all love, family.
(And keep a dessert around for a brother ?)
